Merry Days, Entry 5....

Greetings and Warm Welcome

~ to my blog, where I share my love for everything needle and thread ~

Entry 5....

It's gonna be a quickie today dear friends...I'm late this morning and I have to work....BUT for me it's FRIDAY!! I have a 4 day weekend (you aren't in the twilight zone, it's only Wednesday, but I've worked a 7 day stretch so Friday for me😀)

The last 2 evenings has been like Christmas for me....

My friend Nicole made me mittens from thrifted wool that she felted and hand-dyed

aren't they fabulous?!

She also sent me some of her delectable delicacies that she cans every year....
last evening I ate some of her plum preserves on toast.
DELICIOUS!

Then last evening....
I received a huge package from my friend Joanie. We had arranged an ORNAMENT exchange, and I was suspicious when I saw the size of the package that perhaps she might have surprised me with something else. BOY DID SHE! The wooden folk art santa...wood cut by her husband and she paints the pieces and puts it together. Oh my word...how wonderful!!

I knew exactly where I wanted both Santa's! Here's where they reside...

Then last evening...
I had a finish!!!

Stitched on 40 ct. Lakeside Vintage Examplar, using all Classic Colorworks over-dyed cottons...
if the finishing I have in mind turns out as darling as the stitched finish...it will be a good day!
Stay tuned....

That does it for today!

Until next time....
keep a smile in your heart and one on your face and you just can't go wrong!
Smiles, love and big hugs from me to you,
Vonna xxxx
