It's beginning to look a lot like....

Greetings and Warm Welcome to my blog ~

a place where I share my love of all things needle and thread

I will be coming here to share throughout the month of December for

What can my readers expect for these merry days?
Helpful hints, tips, tricks in crafting
 Nostalgic memories
 New tutorials
 Recipes
Stories from my home to yours....we all have a story to share.

My blog has long been a place of sharing. I enjoy to learn, teach, help others - near and far - in what I love best. Due to unfortunate circumstances in the past year, I deleted all of my content on this blog.
This is a fresh start for me and I intend to make this blog and myself ~ better than ever.

Luckily I did not delete my 15 year old tutorial blog (albeit I thought long and hard about doing that as well - after much prayer and discerning of who I was and what I stood for I decided to keep sharing)
It seems many people do not know about my tutorial blog. Do you? I have a very well laid out, precise blog with links to a lot of tutorials both written/pictorial and also video authored by yours truly...that I have been sharing for 15 years. Many of the techniques that are displayed in my tutorials were actually original creations of mine: mounted tag ornament, snow globe ornament, hoop box, hoop scissors box, package ornament, mounted flatfold, mounted ornament...and I have more in my head that I will create and share.
ALL FREE FOR ALL!

I have been direct messaged and emailed frequently this summer and fall about my blog and the questions has been the same: will I be moving it to Patreon or making it a paid site.
The answer is emphatically - NO!
While I understand many others are moving their content or portions of their content to paid tiers - I am not doing that. God has blessed me with creative talent. I create something (or do steps to creating something) every. single. day.
When blessed with something God-given, we are asked to share:
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart,
not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Cornithians 9:6-7

I will continue to share freely without any payment of any kind on my platforms:

I have lots planned in the upcoming days, weeks and months (years) ahead. I'd strongly urge you to double down and follow me on all platforms, because you don't want to miss out what I have planned in my head.

2020 has been a nightmare in more ways than one.
I refuse to let a year end in negativity. I refuse to let others get the best of me.
I've been thinking all fall about how to end the year...and what better way to end,
....yet start anew....
with my most favorite season of all ~ Christmas.
Join me to share fun, frivolity, joy, laughter, inspiration and creativity!
It is my firm belief that to be a light unto this dark world ~ you have to spark joy.
Join me and together we can spark joy all over the world by acting on simple foundations of:

KINDNESS
JOY
LOVE
SHARING
CARING
CREATING
UNDERSTANDING

That's what I want to do. Make my little world a little bit brighter and hopefully inspire others to make their own little worlds a little bit brighter too....little sparks all over - grow to big, big fires and a lot of light.

Until next time,
keep a smile in your heart and one on your face and you just can't go wrong.
Smiles, love and big hugs to each of you,
Vonna xxxx

  16. This year has been hard on us all, we could all do with some Christmas cheer :-) I too am planning on posting on my blog throughout Advent and to the end of December.
Although blogging and it appears blog reading too has fallen out of favour in recent years, personally I still prefer it over any other social media platform. Looking forward to your December posts🎅🤶

  42. I am SHOCKED to hear you've deleted this blog's content; somehow, this is very, very, very sad. I cannot imagine what could have precipitated this big move. As an online friend for much of that time, I feel so sad it is gone, but I can only think it must have been necessary. Sending love, hugs, and blessings!
