My House...

Greetings to all my friends and stitching buddies!
I *eeked out* another finish this past weekend and just finished it into final form this morning. May I present:

"My House"
designed by: Little House Needleworks ~ Diane Williams
from the "Hometown Holidays" series
copyright 2013
stitched on 35 ct. Straw Linen by Weeks Dye Works
with Crescent Colours and DMC

My House
My House 1
My House 2
I decided...
to stitch this series (as they come out) on a higher stitch count and finish them as ornaments. When picking which linen count and color to use, I decided to go with Weeks "Straw", as it is dark enough that any light colors will show up well and since this is a holiday series...I figure there will be plenty of snow showing up in future designs! Since this was a smaller count design - I went with 35 ct. If there are larger designs I can go with 40 count linen and Weeks Linen provides a perfect color palette to switch between counts.
The Pfeiffer Kiddos...
are back in school today after enjoying their Spring Break. Our routine and schedule returns to normal, with a few added practices to add into Mom's daily pick-up routine as the Pfeiffer boys have added a couple of after school activities that begin today. Back to the really is a good thing - keeps us all on track and on target :)
Until next time...
whenever that may be, I'll be keeping my hands to work and my heart to God, just like always.
Hugs in stitches,

Oh Happy Day!
My dear friends, any day with a gorgeous finish is a good day, right?
I knew from the first moment I laid eyes upon this beauty that I was going to stitch it up as FAST as I could! May I present my Spring Break start and finish:

Not to mention:
The Crow...
The Needle and Thread...
and the Berries...
yes, I'm swinging over to my LNS to get this baby framed ASAP!
what did you stash from Nashville? Anything grab you immediately and get your juices percolating? I'd like to hear from you!
are enjoying Spring Break here in good old B-town and winding the week down with a quick visit to the grandparents homes and a few last minute good times, then it is back to the grind.
Thank you...
ever so much for coming to visit with me and share my love for stitching and my excitement for this finish!
Until next time...
I'll be keeping my hands to work and heart to God, just like always...and I'll be digging down in my bag to see what I pull out next!

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
~I Corinthians 13: 4-8
This beautiful verse...
was read on my wedding day and is beautifully represented to me by the February Little House Sheep Virtue. May I present my version of:
Little Sheep Virtues Series
by Little House Needleworks ~ Diane Williams
copyright 2013
stitched on 30 ct. Weeks Dye Works Cocoa
with DMC threads
Mounted on Palomino Weeks Dye Works Wool
Little House Virtues "Love" Little House Virtues "Love" Little House Virtues "Love" Little House Virtues "Love"
and here they are together in my treenware bowl :)
Little House Virtues "Hope and Love" Little House Virtues "Hope and Love"
They are looking...
so cute together! And I am loving watching my flock grow each month!
There has been...
some inquiring minds about how I stitch the pillows together so I made a tutorial for those of you that may be interested. Of course this can translate into any finish, not just the Sheep Virtues. So interested parties may find the tutorial: HERE
I also need to mention that many people ask me how I button hole stitch so there is a pictorial part in the tutorial about that as well. :)
So what is up next?...
well I must finish a model, then it is on to my Hometown and the Holidays ;) if you catch my drift!
Until the next time...
my dear buddies, I'll be keeping my hands at work and heart to God, just like always!
Hugs in stitches,
