Only use green screw case, don’t mess with the screw, that will totally mess up the works. Ensure your embroidery foot is on factory preset setting. That’s about all I can think of. Once I established that adjusting the top tension wasn't going to get me the results I wanted, I returned it to the default settings. The machine embroiders words and pictures beautifully with the default settings. So I think it's threaded correctly, but it's certainly possible I'm missing something.

I only have issues with the quilting files. I'm glad to know that it's possible to have balanced tension. I'm really excited to be able to quilt my own projects.

I have no idea when the machine last had a tune up. I'll take it in to get it checked out after the New Year.

Thank you for taking time out of your Christmas preparations to answer my questions!TLLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10219514433820520501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32738674.post-65002831683219910642020-12-23T14:04:19.359-05:002020-12-23T14:04:19.359-05:00No absolutely not how it should look. You should never mess with the top or bottom tension. Most models (if they are newer) should self tension. I think you should put it back to factory presets and leave the tension alone. If you are having tension issues after resetting, then you haven't got it threaded correctly, or you machine needs a good cleaning and visit to the sewing machine man.Vonna Pfeifferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16483344299817504410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32738674.post-12563757397125948082020-12-23T09:14:39.654-05:002020-12-23T09:14:39.654-05:00Vonna, your work is always inspiring! I was wondering if you are able to get balanced tension? I've maxed out the top tension and loosened the bottom tension a lot and still have the bobbin thread laying flat across the back of the quilt sandwich. Am I missing a trick or is that how the quilting looks on an embroidery machine?

Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family!TLLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10219514433820520501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32738674.post-76563338946971797652020-12-22T10:39:57.729-05:002020-12-22T10:39:57.729-05:00So many beautiful things in this post I hardly kno...So many beautiful things in this post I hardly know what to comment on! I need to get those out and choose one to stitch.
I've got a question, I bought a rolaframe with two lengths of rollers and should I get a stand for it? It seems awkward holding it in my chair. I usually use a small wooden hoop to stitch with.
Audreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16233515804829798279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32738674.post-30279508342314744422020-12-19T10:02:28.633-05:002020-12-19T10:02:28.633-05:00WoW. your are truly blessed with a great family. b...WoW. your are truly blessed with a great family. big hugs LyndaPurple Pixie Dusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09528900279999164104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32738674.post-77883189494675187202020-12-19T10:01:25.941-05:002020-12-19T10:01:25.941-05:00Vonna, I can't believe the boys are 21 and Kat...Vonna, I can't believe the boys are 21 and Katie is 23. Can’t remember when you started quilting, but I do know it was only a few years ago! Now you’re teaching it! Sheesh! Between you and Keith, no wonder your kids are geniuses! I’ve seen that Santa you’re working on all finished. It’s lovely. Lavender and Lace makes such lovely patterns, but they’re not so easy. So good on ya. Coming along nicely. Ellie-well I didn’t know she was fluent in those languages. How in the heck have you kept her challenged? Can’t wait for that video. Her art at her young age has mesmerized me for years. Thx for sharing. As usual, I’m checking every day for your posts. Merry Christmas! Janniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13051280448811512013noreply@blogger.com
