December 26...

~ Greetings and Warmest Wishes ~
on this day after the Merry festivities...

It is my most sincere wish that each of you had a...
Pineberry Lane 2

On December 21...
I was going through all my stash and reorganizing it from my year of stitching and finishing....
It was a mess down in the old finishing and stash cave. My goodness!

Pineberry Lane

And....
of course I was dreaming...because I never am far away from that reality!
HA HA!
 What was I dreaming about?
Well what my plans and stitching goals that I'd like to accomplish in the New Year.
I didn't get too far in my personal stitching this year.
Between finishing for clients and model stitching and finishing and working outside the home and all the other 1001 things that compete for my time...
I didn't have such a successful year in stitching. In fact...it was a little lean.
One goal is to make time and stitch for me.
I'm my biggest fan....
I deserve some of my creations in my house!

So...
with my mind made up, I pulled out this pattern that I had been hoarding...(I've mentioned I'm a hoarder) well...I am!

"Bringing Home the Tree"
by
Pineberry Lane

Stitched on 32 ct. raw linen using DMC as called for in pattern

Pineberry Lane_Bringing Home the Tree

I adore it....
and finally after sitting on it for years and admiring everyone else's finished forests...
it is mine.
It was quick...just really about 10 hours and it was done!

:)

Pinberry Lane Bringing Home the Tree

This one....
shall be framed in a black frame I'm thinking with just a touch or tarnished gold bead around the inside is what I'm envisioning. I hope my LNS has something perfect!
I'm sure they will...

Until next time my dear friends....
I am going to be dreaming...
and keeping my hands to work and my heart to God.... just like always.
As I try to be the change, I want to see in this world.
Treating my neighbor as myself...
To thine own self be true...
I am blessed!
and you are too...

Love in stitches,
Vonna xxxx

  5. Happy day after! Great finish. I think a rustic black frame would look great. I too am going to try and do more stitching this coming year. I have way too many starts in my basket, I had startitis this year for some reason. I am a hoarder as well. My stitching has been almost non-existent for several years now. I just tend to gravitate to my Kindle.

  8. Thank you Vonna for the 25 days of Christmas and for all the beautiful finishes throughout the year. I took you advice and along with the Little house samoler, series I stitched 14 sampler motifs that I found here and there. I got the sampler swmeries completed but still have to make the "14" into ornaments. Thanks so much for all the inspiration throughout 20q5. And blessing on your own stitching in 2016!!

  20. I know the feeling about not having enough time to stitch for yourself. Sadly I only had one finish for me this year. Next year I will do better. I really like your Christmas week stitching project. Hopefully, I will have time to stitch one of the Little House Sampler Tree ornaments for me. I hope you have a happy, healthy new year.
