Day 12...

25 Days

Katie....
had a lovely birthday party.
Homemade Alfredo that is an Olive Garden knock off. It is decadent.
Recipe that I use with great success is:
Alfredo

We ordered real Olive Garden bread sticks though, because Mom stinks at making bread sticks.
And of course she had a cookie cake from Sams because she loves their cookie cakes :)

Katie's 18th Birthday

On the agenda for today....

Untitled

Lord, give me strength....

Until tomorrow....
I'll be keeping my hands to work..
my heart to God..
while treating my neighbor with kindness and respect,
and trying to be the best me I can be.
It's hard, isn't it?
I may stumble and I may fall, but I pick myself up and I remember:
To thine own self be true...
because...
I want to BE the change I want to SEE.
Join me!

Merry Christmas,
Vonna xxxx

  2. Hmmm, I am guessing Christmas cut-out cookies unless you have decided to decorate with your cookie cutters. Thank you for sharing the knock off Alfredo sauce. Enjoy your Saturday, Vonna!

  3. Cookie cutters! Oh, how I love looking at and eating Christmas cookies, but oh, that process of cutting them out and re-rolling the pastry dough, and the exchanging of cookie sheets in and out of the oven, and the TIME it takes to frost and decorate them? oh, not so much. And did I mention the clean up process afterwards? Ugh! But you Vonna, as you have proven in earlier blog posts, are quite the cookie expert. Your cookies could go up against Martha Stewart's any day. You will survive, and they will be as beautiful as your stitching, and delicious...and unfortunately, gone all too soon. Courage my dear. Your readers wish they could bite into one right now!
