Day 18....

~ Greetings and Warm Welcome to ~
Day 18...
Just a quickie post today folks!
Last night was a late one due to the Penance Service - but what a wonderful, freeing, cleansing evening it was! :) I'm all pure and white and clean now!

Today...
Ellie is having her Endangered Species Report Open House...so Mama has to be there to view her good work! That starts at 9 a.m. Then I didn't get Ann's gift done, so I got get back home and get busy! Working that night shift sure threw me off my game...

I stitched...
this darling little ornament that I found in this year's Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue. Another popular one, I stitched for my husband's Christmas ornament for the year:

Down Jinglepot Road
I think the green gingham and the oval shape sets it off perfectly!

Until tomorrow...
I'll be keeping my hands to work and my heart to God, while I'm chasing my tail all day long!

Love in stitches,
Vonna xxxx

  9. How cute is that little ornament, Vonna! I love the ruched gingham ribbon around the edge :)

Sounds like things are incredibly busy at your house. I don't even have kids at home any longer and can't seem to keep up with everything... Don't know how you do it!

  10. This one might be my favorite. It's the most unusual. And great for a guy! Finding good "guy" ornaments isn't the easiest. That green gingham and the entire shape, little snowflakes on the piece - it's just adorable. And it's a "cute" little truck. Just love it. Thx, Vonna.

  18. I remember that ornament, but I have to say that your finishing really makes it stand out! I always love getting the ornament issue each year; sometimes I gather them and sit down to look at all of them - really gets you in the mood to stitch. Enjoy your time at school making memories.

  26. What a cute finish! Hope you can get Ann's present stitched today. I just came back home from delivering a cushion a fried had ordered as a Christmas present for her son. I really loved to stitch this colorful design, but to be honest I don't like stitching with a strict deadline very much. As I will spend the weekend on the Christmas market in Salzburg I had to get it finished this week.
Vonna, you are a great inspiration to me with both your lovely stitching and the way you live your life.
    Greetings from Austria!

  32. Vonna, what a great ornament and beautiful finish! It reminds me of warm and happy memories of my dad as he often had a red truck, loved chickens and of course driving to getting the tree.

  41. Not one I would of immediately wanted to stitch out of the ornament magazine but ... yours is a really cute finish. Yes I think it is the gingham ribbon that sets it off and the oval shape that has a lot to do with it.
I'm getting a vision of everyone running around in your home and crashing in to one another as you all are so busy! :)
