January Wrap-up...

~ Warm Welcome Friends! ~
I hope you all are faring well. I was struck last week with the respiratory flu bug. Thankfully it didn't go into a secondary infection, but I am still battling fatigue and exhaustion 8 days out. I have been a professional sleeper and I could sleep more. I'm just exhausted...

But since I've not done much of anything except sleep...
I tried to force myself to do something worthwhile, so I stitched :)

May I present my first Prairie Schooler Santa:

2002 Yearly Santa
designed by: Prairie Schooler
stitched on 18 ct. Davos
using DMC as charted

2002 Prairie Schooler Santa

and I stitched a second Santa!! This cutie is from:

Book 36 St. Nicholas II
designed by: Prairie Schooler
stitched on 18 ct. Davos
using DMC as charted

Bk 36 Prairie Schooler St. Nicholas

and that's not it! I also finished:

A Little Christmas
designed by: Lizzie Kate
stitched with GAST, WDW and DMC as charted
this was a "littles" kit

Lizzie Kate A Little Christmas

So friends...
I know I'm not very chatty today, I'm just not feeling great yet...but soon hopefully.

Until next time...
I'll be getting better (I hope!) and keeping my hands to work and heart to God, just like always!

Love in stitches,
Vonna xxxx

  11. Sorry you aren't feeling well...I completely understand because I had that respiratory bug earlier in the month and it is amazing how long it holds on and how tired you are! I was excited when I could go up AND down the stairs without a nap afterwards!!

Congratulations on getting so much stitching done...your Santa pieces are beautiful!

  12. Wow! That's how much you stitch when you're resting? I need to work on my resting technique. All adorable. Hope you're feeling 100% soon.

  13. Dear Vonna...so sorry to hear your ill! My best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. Here in Upstate NY flu is rampant. In our office we have had at least 6 to8 kids with lab pos H1N1 type A and just a few days ago my partner had to admit a one month old with it! The good news is so far there has been no children who have received the vaccine that have contracted the flu. We'll see how it goes ..there is still a long season ahead. Take Care. Lisa K

  22. So sorry to hear that darn flu bug hit you, Vonna. I heard it is worse this year for you younger people and is hitting those of us born before 1957 less often. For once, I'm happy to be "old!" I sure hope you feel better very soon--take care and try not to push yourself (easier said than done with a young, active family!)...

Your finishes are all so beautiful (of course, I'm partial to the PS Santas!). Glad you were still able to stitch in spite of being ill :)

  45. Well Vonna, If that's "all" that you stitch when you're feeling exhausted and battling a nasty
bout of flue then there is no hope for the rest of us! Lol!

Your PS Santas are wonderful and I can't wait to see them finished into ornaments. I predict
that when it comes to your hoped for Prairie Schooler Ornament tree .... you're going to need a
    bigger tree!

The Lizzie Kate piece is lovely. Love those non traditional thread colours.

Rest up Vonna! Take it easy and pamper yourself. Hope you feel much
    better soon.

    Cheers!
