Day Twenty-five...

~Greetings Dear Friends ~
and a warm welcome to Day Twenty-five
of the 25 Days of Christmas with The Twisted Stitcher!

Christmas Eve...
was a busy one indeed! Keith and I woke up really early and began the feast preparations. We made to serve: Turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn pudding, hot rolls and pie. Yum-o!

Then it was off...
to Choir practice for me, as I was slated to sing for the Children's Christmas pagent and then the Christmas Eve Mass at our church last evening. Sadly, the "Choir" didn't show, but myself (soprano) and a lovely man that is a bass and another gentleman who sings tenor showed and all together I think the evening was lovely. I prayed that I would sing pretty for Baby Jesus and my prayer was granted. The service was lovely. However because I was the only member singing the melody, I pushed it (for 3 hours) and my voice was like a frog the rest of the evening. :) but I hit every upper register note and never squeaked once.

Then after Mass...
we went and picked up Kamryn, while Santa visited our house.... ;o) then it was home to supper, presents and family time. We had a great Christmas!

Today...
I'm working at the hospital. Working in the medical field is 24/7/365, and after working 20 years in the medical field, you get used to working holidays. There are people in need every day, all day, all year long.

To cap off my 25 days of Christmas, may I present our tree. It rotates so I tried to get shots from all sides as it spun. Our tree is decorated, as you all know, primarily with cross stitched ornaments and family ornaments that mean something special to us. Its not fancy, its not perfect, but we love it! I believe there is nearly 200 cross stitched ornaments.

Merry Christmas...
to all my friends and followers of this blog. I want to close with my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to each of you that have left comments, who have read and have maybe taken something away from my blog posts. Many of you have taken extra time to even write to me wonderful, generous, personal e-mails that have blown my mind, touched my heart and in many instances made me cry. Thank you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for touching my life in the ways that you do! It is a blessing that I cherish. Sincerely.

And that folks...
is Day 25! Can you believe it?

Until...
next time, which I hope will be at least weekly! Hugs and love and Christmas wishes for a blessed New Year to come!
Vonna xxxx

  2. You have been a marvel of Christmas giving and sharing...not just these past 25 days, but throughout the year. Many times I have turned to your tutorials to try to try to give my ornies the "Vonna" touch. You are a strong family influence, an active church member, a model stitcher AND you work full time. How you manage to squeeze all that in, and continue to write a blog that is beautiful, informative, instructive, and entertaining is beyond me. But I'm so grateful. Now take a well-deserved rest, and we'll see you when we see you. Happy New Year to all the Pfeiffers.
