First Day of School 2013....

This is how we go to school....
on the first day of school :)
yes....Ian really IS that tall.

Katie: Sophomore
Ian: 8th Grade
Jacob: 8th Grade
Ellie: 2nd Grade

Mom is sad....her babies are growing up, too fast.
But like the Staples commercial says, "Its the  most wonderful time of the year!" I think it is out to lunch for me today!

And to see the changes...
here is the first day of school 2008.

  1. Very nice picture, Vonna. Yep, they sure do grow fast. Our youngest, Madeleine, is also a sophomore this year. Their Catholic high school does not start until the 22nd.

  6. Time flies.
Those days are so far behind me. I recently said to Jim, "Now that the kids are grown ..." Then I realized that the kids are long long grown. It's just so hard to grasp.

  7. Wow! Your schools start early, Vonna! I don't think the kids go back here until the 26th. (that is a guess--once your kids are grown and gone, you don't have a clue as to what the real school schedule is).

The kids look great--hope they all have very successful school years :)

  11. School started already??? Wow! That's so early. Glad mine are done with that stage of life. Only one more year of college and then we are done...unless she gets into grad school which is another whole can of worms!

  12. I thought our schools starting next week was early, but yours are even earlier! They really do grow up fast. My oldest is a second year teacher at her old high school and my youngest is starting her 3rd year of college. The time has gone so fast. I love your pics of the first day of school. Isn't it so fun to look back on those pics!

  14. I just love the yearly picture of your kids on their first day of school after the school holidays, right before they leave. Great to see the new picture together with one that was taken so many years ago.

  16. Y'all get started early. What a difference a few years make. A girl to a lady, the baby to a big girl, and little boys into young men! Wonderful family - hope the entire year is a successful as this beginning.
