The Cottage Stitch-A-Long part deux...

Hello stitching friends and blogging buddies...
There has been a tremendous response to stitching The Country Cottage Needleworks Monthly Cottages .

I have opened a second blog for those that didn't get in the first one and would still like to stitch-a-long with us. You can access the second blog HERE .

If you are interested in joining: the only rules are that you purchase the patterns (No copyright infringements allowed!) at your favorite needlework shop and stitch them at your leisure, showing us your projects along the way! Simple! No Hassles!

If you'd like to join: please send me an e-mail at thetwistedstitcher@comcast.net with your e-mail address that you would like to use to join the blog. I will add you just as soon as I can.

A huge thank you goes out to all of you who have sent me such lovely notes, messages and words of encouragement. Today marks the first day of Lent, a time of renewal, a time of growth, sweeping out the old and sweeping in the new of life spiritually....I am looking forward to studying my chosen subject matter this Lenten Season and my own personal spiritual renewal and growth. I know as long as I stand firm, I'll come out a better me in 40 days. Join me.

Until next time...
I'll be keeping my hands at work and my heart to God, just like always.
Love and hugs in stitches,
Vonna

  2. I love these little cottages! I might have to join the SAL - I would really like to stitch the series, and then have my mother make them into a quilt. I might have to see how she feels about that LOL

  3. Love your cottage project but I am avoiding all new purchases until I catch up with what I have on hand [which should only be in about five years, such has been my greedy impulse buying in the past] ... part of an ongoing effort to simplify my life. May your spiritual journey be everything you wish for this Lent. I have determined to read St. Teresa of Avila's Interior Castles: I am not sure I am ready for something so intense but my confessor recommended it so I am prepared to give it a shot. On my own, I was just going to make an effort to say the Morning Prayer of the Divine Office each day but Father challenged me to raise my sights a bit. I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me.

  4. See what you started with the cottages! I really should try to finish January, as February is winding down. I hate being behind, but it is so me! Besides, we're getting ready for our HoopLa weekend. I'm a little behind in that, too.

Best wishes for your Lenten reading. I like today's solemn feel.

  15. Vonna, I have been enjoying your blog for several months now...you have been a real inspiration for me to stitch more! I am also going to attempt one of your finishing techniques with the kitty cottage I recently stitched. Thank you so much for posting them! I have a couple questions....do you use any type of magnification? Also, any special lighting? My eyes are aging! Also, I am Catholic too and have been looking for some inspirational Lenten reading....any suggestions? Lisa
