Blackbird Stocking....

Happy Wednesday Friends :)
I did it! I finished one of the July Blackbird Designs stockings. It wasn't pretty, I had to figure out the process, and I came to KNOW that the way Alma and Barb give the instructions in the back is the way to finish them! Easy peasy once you get the hang of it :o)

Blackbird Designs ~ July Quilt Stars Stocking
Stitched on 28 ct. bake and basted by me evenweave
Fibers: DMC as given in the pattern
Started: July 18, 2009
Finished: July 21, 2009
Now on to the other 20 stockings.....
to be continued..... LOL!
Until next time....
Love and best wishes, as you count your blessings and your stitches, from our house to yours! XXxxxx

  1. Looking Good!!! Did you finish the way that Barb and Alma said in the pattern?

I have that same one almost done, but ran out of the blue silk I was using. Should be in at the LNS tomorrow.

Those stockings are the funnest to stitch. Can hardly wait to see the Halloween ones.

    Keep on stitching.

  23. What a super cute finish, Vonna! YGG! I saw a bunch of the stockings stitched by one of the ladies at my LNS and they are oh, so cute! Then when we went to a not so LNS, they had them finished & hanging on a little tree. Super cute! So many fun things to stitch, so little time!!

  29. Hey girly, your stocking is very cute. I’ve bought a few of these patterns, because I love stockings, and mini-stockings are even better. I’ll have to make one of them soon… if I can get off of Shores for awhile!

  39. Does that mean your way didn't work??? Well. I'm not nearly as good as you at sewing, but I still would rather have somethink like the stockings I have a picture of in my post from Tuesday. ??? Well, I haven't stitched any of them yet, so I need not worry, yet!
