Their Song...

Good Day Friends! Last Friday, I found myself in a junction, I had finished stitching my Patriotic Exchange, and I needed something new to start. So I dug into my basket and pulled out - Blackbird Designs "Their Song". Last time I stitched on this, was the same day I started it and that was January 3, 2008 and here was my progress on that one day of stitching:

Three days later..... here is where it is now:

FINISHED!
Blackbird Designs ~ "Their Song" ~ Loose Feathers #24
Fabric: 28 ct. Apple Brown Bindy Linen R and R Reproductions
Fibers: Weeks Dye Works as called for
Started: 1/3/08
Finished: 6/29/09
~~to be framed~~

O Happy day! Another sampler for my "someday" Sampler Wall....now on to the next stitching project....hmmmm....what shall that be? Guess you'll have to wait to see ;o)

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my Patriotic Stitching Basket, I appreciate the positive feedback so much. And to answer the question on the star thread holders - this is so embarassing simple I'm ashamed to tell you .....I got them at Michael's, they were already cut out, they were already painted, they cost 79 cents per star and all did was drill a hole in there for the floss tag ring. Simple! See no magic! :o)

That's it for me today...so until next time....Love and Best Wishes, as you count your blessings and your stitches, from our house to yours! XXxxxx

Give generously, for your gifts
will return to you later.

  7. Vonna,

Wonderful addition to your sampler wall.

I borrowed this pattern from Wendy in Canada. I've started stitching it but there's no way I'll finish it as quickly as you did yours.

I can't wait to see your framing of it.

Thanks for the info on the stars, I need to get some of those, although I don't have a Michael's in this town. Hmmmm...wondering if they sell them online? Will have to check into that, they are so neat!

  10. Vonna,
tell us your secrets...do you use a short thread so you don't have to pull so far? No, that would take time to thread more...oh, tell me your secret of speedy stitching!!!!

Your pieces are BEAUTIFUL and the recipient of your Patriotic Basket is soooo lucky!
