All in a heart...

Getting tired of me? :) I hope not! But we'll be on vacation soon, so you'll soon have a reprieve. I pulled out my "All in a Heart" kit by Miss Crescent's Crowne a week or so ago and started this cute little sampler. Yesterday on the way down to Holiday World (it's a two hour drive) I finished it up. Here it is:

"All in a Heart"
Designer: Miss Crescent's Crowne ~ Sharon Crescent
Fabric: 32 ct. Vintage Light Examplar linen
Fibers: Crescent Colours provided in kit
Started: May 22, 2009
Finished: June 1, 2009

Then this morning.... I framed it in a frame that was supposed to be for my Earth Sampler but Hobby Lobby measured it wrong and it didn't fit. But luckily, this little sweetie fit perfetly and I love how it turned out!

All framed up June 2, 2009

See you CAN make lemonade out of lemons! My dear husband told me to "take it back and get your money back or have them make it right!" Non-confrontational me said, "no worries - I'll stitch something that will work in it...." and I did. I think this one looks better in it than the Earth Sampler would have.

Well off it is to town for me today, I have a lot of errands to attend to, then it is back home for some cleaning and finishing work. Then it is off to a double header fast-pitch softball game and hopefully over to the other side of town to see the end of my other player's baseball game. Good thing I have another licensed driver that will be home from work to take boy #1, while I take girl #1....yikes....scheduling can get hairy sometimes...

That's it for me today....so until next time, love and best wishes ~ as your count your blessings and your stitches ~ from our house to yours! XXxxxx

There's always something for which to be thankful.

  16. I think it looks just lovely ... I love it when a "problem" becomes a glorious solution. While I type this, your Perry Como clip "And I Love Her So" is playing in the background ... bringing back sweet memories of my children as nurslings ... I used that record [yes, it was vinyl back some 32 years ago] as my relaxation tool when breast-feeding.

  29. Great finish...and so quick! So Hobby Lobby does do JUST frames. I want to order some specific sizes from them but I wasn't sure if you had to buy the "total package" (where they do the blocking, matting, framing etc). This is good to know.
