My first...

Happy Sunday Friends and warm Hello's! I hope that this finds you all well and happy :) Last week, AmySC had a birthday and I chose to try out my FIRST EVER floss tag. I'm slow to get on the band wagon, and I know these are "old news" but I thought I'd give 'er a whirl. And here's my first attempt:

"Rabbit"
Designer: JBW
Fabric: 25 ct. bake and basted by moi Lugana
Stitched: one over one using DMC 115
Finished as: Floss Ring Tag
Stitched for: AmySC's birthday

I can see....more of these in my future! I absolutely love how it turned out. And I certainly hope that Amy liked it as well....she's a special friend and I wish her many more happy birthdays in future!

The salad with the real dressing was......HEAVEN! I tell you....YUM-O! But Keith had to eat the other half....I got too full and since I've worked so hard at shrinking my stomach, I sure didn't want to stretch it back out! LOL! I've got a long "row to hoe" on this weightloss journey, but I think a splurge once per month isn't bad practice...gives you something to look forward to the other 29 days of the month!

Last night we watched ....."Same Time Next Year" with Alan Alda...oh, my Granny used to think he was the cat's MEOW! I had seen the movie multiple times in my growing up years, however it had always been edited for t.v. some of the language...though not "rough" by today's standard...made me blush a few times. It was an oldie but a goodie, we enjoyed it.

Well that does it for me for today.... so until next time...love and best wishes, as your count your blessings and your stitches, from our house to yours! XXXXXX

It is in the shelter of each other that people live.

  6. It's very pretty.

I must be way way behind the bandwagon because I have no idea what a floss tag is really for.

  7. One time when I was a seat filler for a Hallmark movie premier (I know sounds so glamorous, HA!), Alan Alda accidentally elbowed me at the reception. He apologized profusely. Much nicer than Anne Archer who cut in front of the dude for coffee.

  16. That's a lovely floss tag! I love the detail inside all that scrolling stitchwork. And I guess if it's old news, you're not the last to attempt it. This is only the second floss tag I've seen and I've yet to create one either.

Hey, I love Alan Alda!! That was definitely a hoot of a movie. I loved him the best in M*A*S*H. I wish I could have been one of his daughters way back then because I knew he had three and lived in New Jersey at the time. : )
