Edgar's Ornament...

Whoa...another post today...Edgar e-mailed me to let me know that my ornament arrived on his doorstep yesterday! Hurray! Here is what I stitched for Edgar who is the October recipient for the Christmas Ornament Swap:

Blackbird Designs
2008 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue
32 ct. Hand-dyed (by moi) linen
DMC fibers
I absolutely LOVE this ornament and can see a whole bunch in my future (like 6 - one for each of my family members) all hanging on our Christmas Tree :o)
Thanks for coming to visit again! Hugs to all....

  1. Oh torture, torture!! I have searched everywhere for the 2008 JCS ornament issue and it's nowhere to be found. Even stores that usually carry the magazine year-round have suddenly stopped selling it. What's up with that?
Your finish is beautiful and I am sure Edgar will love this ornament.

  16. I love the ornament you stitched for Edgar! I'm SO anxious for my copy of the ornament issue to arrive - not living in North America has its downsides :) I'm hoping by the weekend it should have made it :)

    I wish I was Edgar :-)
I have not yet made a sock for me and my hubbie, although one Christmas I gave a lot of them to my friends and kids friends.
That will be my next project after the Home for Christmas!!!

  33. What a cute stocking, that would be a fun design to do as a series for your family. I'm enjoying your progress on Something Wicked too. Normally that style isn't to my taste, but something about it really appeals to me.

  41. Hi Vonna, I have just wrote you a lovely long comment that has disappeared to no-where ?? Grrrrrr !!

I will start again.....having a bit of time today to stop to chat instead of my usual rush on by I just wanted to remind you that I really enjoy your blog, love to hear all that you have been up to and see your latest stitching. This stocking was an instant hit with me as soon as I opened the mag, LOVE IT and I hope mine turns out as well as yours and KarenV's.

Your halloween boot is super cool, I only like selective halloween things but this wins a vote from me for sure. I used to wear some boots that were similar when I was a wee punk, they were so pointy they would curl up a bit at the ends in the rain (not as extreme as this tho ;-) I also used to wear the stripey tights with short short skirts LOL and to think I thought I looked the bees knees ;-)) !!

And what can I say about your latest family member... he is so dark and handsome what beautiful colouring and such a clever boy for being so vocal at such a tender age LOL he looks super smart and your kids faces just say it all :-))) I hope he has many happy loving years together with you all so...... hello Chatty from the UK can't wait to hear what mischief you get up too as I know what you Tom cats are like !!

Take care and have a nice day xx
