Home of a Needleworker!

Hello friends! I am so excited I could just spit! I finished a long forgotton UFO...I started last February 2007. It is Little House Needleworks Home of a Needleworker. This was one of the very first patterns I ever bought of LHN and this is the reason I've been a long time lover of all things Little House :)

Without further ado here it is:

As you can see from the photos....I framed it in a different way...instead of using a mat, I didn't stitch the framing green triangular motifs and pieced homespun rust gingham and forest green homespun on the top and bottom and then framed it in a fabulous frame I got from Hobby Lobby. I laced it on to quiltbatting padded mat board and am just tickled to pieces with the way it turned out...as soon as we get some sunshiney weather, I'm going to take a picture of it hanging over my stitching chair! I'm just so proud of myself...for it turned out exactly how I wanted it to look :) Love it when an idea comes together!
Alrighty....one UFO to mark off my list (WHOO HOO!)...off to start a new project ;)
Until next time....Stitch with JOY!

  12. Great finish!

I have to tell you...seeing your progress on this piece is what led me to getting this chart for myself. (enabler!!) I'd like to start it sometime this year...gotta knock off a few current WIP's before I start anything else "big", though.
