First Communion

An eventful, successful, celebratory and touching day all rolled in to one! Mama's bushed so I shall let the pictures do the talking:

Ian with Father Mike

Jacob with Father Mike

The Pfeiffer Boys

The Party Pack with the Lamb Cakes
And finally I shall leave you with a few chords from beloved song about Holy Communion that I learned as a little 6 year old girl making my First Holy Communion and still to this day reminds me of Sister Annelle my teacher and brings tears to my eyes.
Oh Sacrament Most Holy,
Oh Sacrament Divine,
All Praise and all Thanksgiving,
Be every moment Thine!
Fitting words for a most Blessed day in the life of a Roman Catholic. Congratulations Daddy and Mama's most precious boys!
Until next time, my friends, I hope all your days be Blessed as ours was this day!

Von loved the photos of the boys in church and of course the Party Pack. It was a lovely party and the food and hospitality was great. When your brother keeps complimenting his big sis on her cooking you know it had to be good. You are a great mother and a wonderful daughter. I had a great time at your house this weekend.
    Love, Mom

Your home is gorgeous. How funny...I decorate with my wooden ironing board and my grandmother's old suitcase. I just grinned when I saw yours. I will have to share pictures of my home one of these days. Yours is very cozy. :)

  31. Vonna, I know words cannot convey your joy as you watched your sons receive their First Communion. May God's blessings be upon them all their lives.

I don't think I've ever seen lamb cakes like those! Wow! You really went all out on this celebration. That's the beauty of having twins, tho - two celebrations rolled into one. Ya gotta get as much benefit out of it as you can, cuz too often the cost of two at a time weighs heavily on the budget. :D

  35. Congratulations to all of you! Next month our twins will receive the next sacrament, being 13 years old now. We call it the sacrament of confirmation, don't know if that is the proper english term you use for it!

Have a nice day & greetings, Carolien
