My Fair Squares to Staci...

Hello Friends!
I forgot to do a post of my recent Fair Squares that I stitched for Staci (who doesn't have a blog...*yet*)
Design: Heart and Home from Joy in the Journey Booklet (Leisure Arts)
Designer: Diane Williams (of Little House Needleworks)
Fibers: DMC as called for
Fabric: 32 ct. Raw Belfast
*It should be clickable for greater clarity*
Thanks for all the well wishes... I'm feeling more myself, thanks to good 'ol mother nature and the way of things, if you get my drift..... I sometimes have horrible hormone fluxes and this month was no exception. I've found that if I use a herbal creame with "naturally" occuring progesterone, it helps me with mood swings, etc. (but I hadn't been using it recently...but I've started to do it religiously again) I know it sounds hokey...but my DH asked me a few months ago when I started using it....if I'd been doing something different because I was in such a *good* mood! LOL! So it MUST work!
I've lost my mojo and I dear sweet friend of mine that has a birthday coming up is going to not get her birthday present on time...but it's near completion.....so it will be late. But that's the way of a busy Mommy....
My family participated in a pumpkin carving last night at our Church's Focus on the Family fall harvest party. It was great fun and the kids got loaded up on sugar and it was quite a time for us to calm them all down last night to go to sleep :)
I'll have to take a photo of our pumpkins to show you their endeavors...it was boys (DH, Ian and Jacob) vs. the girls (Mom, Katie and Ellie) carving our pumpkins.....shhhh! But I think the girls won!
Until next time, I hope everyone can stitch like there is no tomorrow!

  28. Hi Vonna! You take good care of yourself now. Your right, you are a busy Mommy so you need to be in tip-top form! I just heard about that hormonal herbal cream a couple of weeks ago from a group of gals from my church and I was wondering if it really did work. It appears so. I'm glad it is helping you out. The pumpkin carving sounded like fun!

Your pumpkin carving night sounds like fun. We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia but I did notice last night that there were a lot a "gouls" walking around the streets.

  40. Love your squares and so glad you're feeling better. I've learned that we "Moms" must take care of ourselves too so we can take care of others. The pumpkin carving contest sounds like fun. Please do share some photos with us. I love to look at your pictures. :D Take care of you.

  41. What's the name of that cream? I think I need some of that, LOL!! My mood swings have just been horrendous lately.
Love your squares. Your mojo will return, just make sure you make some time for yourself! I look forward to your pumpkin pics. If you check my blog you'll see that this is something I really get into every year. I find it's great therapy. Then again, the way my moods have been maybe it's not such a good idea to have a carving tool in hand, LOL!!

  42. Your F&S looks lovely!

  43. Vonna! Is that you?!

I'm confused, lol. And I'll tell you why..

There is a blog that I read and comment to all the time.....and I was CONVINCED it was yours. But now I'm not sure, heheh.

I usually get to the (your's I thought) blog from my sideline and for some reason I've always thought it was you I was commenting to. But just now, after your comment on my blog, I followed the link that say's 'vonna' on the comment, so I could add something to what I said earlier.......and I arrived here. This (your real) blog ISN'T the one I've been commenting to and thinking it was Vonna's! Well, I have been commenting to here, but that was when I thought this was someone else's blog, IYKWIM?!! Hahahaha. I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

I'm so embarrased because the blog owner must think I'm a nut, talking about stuff she has no clue about. And you must think I'm really weird because I've just admitted my mix-up, ahahahahah.

OMG! I'm cringing just to think about it. lol!

I bet none of this even makes sense, does it?! Hahahah
