I've gotten my week off to a positive start...please let me introduce to you:
"Hope"
Little Sheep Virtues
Little Sheep Virtues
Designed by: Little House Needleworks ~ Diane Williams

stitched on 30 ct. R&R Chino
stitched with DMC as charted
Mounted on Weeks Dye Works Palomino Houndstooth Wool
What this "Little Sheep Virtue" means to me is:
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
Romans 12:12
I've placed my "Hope" in my antique dough trencher...I need to get some greenery to set my sheep off! But I can just visualize my little flock of sheep reminding me of the virtues to practice in this life so that I may one day rejoice in heaven!
I'm looking very forward to the reveal of February and to stitching her and adding her in :) Two sheep makes a small flock, right?! :)
A busy week ahead....
as I unexpectedly began another week of full time work at the hospital. But I'm happy to have the extra money to contribute to the budget! So hi-ho-hi-ho its off to work I go....
Until next time my dear friends...
I'll be keeping my hands to work and heart to God, just like always as I practice hope along the way! Join me....
Hugs in stitches,
Vonna XXX

ReplyDeleteLovely! I've been meaning to try some of the weeks houndstooth wool, but not sure what color/ project.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is your Hope? I love that you've chosen to finish it on (sheep) wool! It's great to see the beginning of a new series, and can't wait to see how you treat the rest! "Hope" you have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish Vonna. I have to say I am a bit envious of your talent for finishing. Not only do you do a wonderful job but you actually get it done in a timely manner. I can do it but it doesn't come easy and I always always always procrastinate for months before I try. I just don't enjoy the process. Can't wait to see the next addition to your bowl!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how you'll display them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish Vonna! I can't wait to see your bowl filled with all these wonderful virtues!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week my friend!!

ReplyDeleteCute finish Vonna! Mine is MIA in the post. I can't wait for it to arrive so I can start it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful finish, Vonna! The wool is so pretty for your fabric.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable. Fabulous finishing as always. What a wonderful way to display and be reminded of the virtues.
ReplyDeleteLove your finish, with the backing fabric and creating a flock sounds wonderful!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is amazing! I have cross stitched in years, but sure have the desire to do so. I found you by blog hopping. How in the word do you see on such fine linens. Like I said it's been years since I stitched, so it's been a long time on small count and many pairs of bi- and trifocals.
ReplyDeleteThank you for including the names of the patterns. I'm also a quilter and I get frustrated in all my crafts when bloggers don't include the name of the pattern.
May God richly bless all that to which you put your hand.
ReplyDeleteI do have this sweet little design in my stash already and I already loved how you finished it, when I first saw it.
It´s beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching!!!

ReplyDeleteHope the full-time work schedule eases up, soon--that has to be hard with four active kids to ferry around to activities!
Lovely stitching and finishing.
