Good-bye January...

A hearty "Hello!"...
to all  my blogging buddies and stitching friends! Is it nearly February already?! Where did January go? January was a little atypical for me. I worked a lot at the hospital during the month of January to cover for illness and vacations of my colleagues. I'm hoping I'll return to my normal scheduling coming in February. I didn't have much stitching time at all, not to mention personal time period. Three teenagers and their schedules, is very demanding, add in a house, a job outside the home...yikes! Plus Mr. Pfeiffer and I are encouraging them to have their friends here to "hangout". We provide the venue, food and leave them alone...they get to have fun...and we have the peace of mind knowing they are safe (as their parents do too). Plus the other families host from time to time too! However it does seem that our house is the house that is voted as venue of choice... :)

I have a couple of my first finishes for 2013 to share with you. May I present:

2013 Ornaments _ January

I used...
some of my Christmas money to get JM Gardner framed. I love the frame I chose and she looks beautiful in it! May I present:

Well folks, that's all I've got for you today...
I'm close to another stitching finish, so I'll be back soon! It won't be another 4 week wait to hear from me again :)

In the meantime...
I'll be keeping my hands to work and heart to God, just like always! I'm preparing myself for the Lenten season, its just around the corner and will be here before I know it. Last year I had such a wonderfully prayer filled and insightful Lent, that I'm hoping I can repeat the experience this year. I'm busy looking into doing something meaningful, I haven't decided just what yet, but I'll come up with something! I always do...

XXX,
Vonna

  43. Hi Vonna. What pretty finishes you have to share! After reading your comments about the kids having friends over, it brought back fond memories. Our house was also a favorite house for the kids and their friends. There was often an extra face at the dinner table as well. :) Enjoy these times.
