Let me tell you when I read over at Country Cottage Needleworks , that Nikki was designing a monthly Cottage starting December 2011, and then I saw how cute the first installment was...well, sign me up buster!
I love, love, love houses. I don't know why, maybe its because I'm built like one, but enjoy them I sure do. Throw in key phrases like *seasons* and *series*....well that pushes some mental buttons for me. I automatically start thinking....thinking....thinking.... then I start, well obsessing. I. have. to. do. it.
So...here's the deal. I'm going to start a Stitch-A-Long Blog. These will all be 75 x 75 inches and I've got dimensions all figured out for if you stitch them as singles or as one big piece. Care to think what I'm doing? Ha. Ha. Ha.
Anyway, if you'd like to sign yourself up for a pressure free, no holds barred Stitch-A-Long of these cutie patootie monthly cottages, send me an e-mail (located by the mailbox in the sidebar) with your name and e-mail that you wish to join the blog with so that you can become an author to share your Monthly Cottage Finishes. You can see what I have set up so far, over here at: The Cottages Stitch~A~Long Place. Don't delay only 100 authors allowed and I'm already down to just 99 spots left! :)
Go crazy right along with me and join today!

I DID see these and I'm almost DIZZY with excitement! I must, must, must stitch these! LOVE LOVE!
ReplyDeleteThose are cute and I'd sign up, but I'm still staring at the PS Alphabets that I haven't worked on in forever. So I'll just have to watch you as you work on them. They're very cute.
ReplyDeleteaww it is so sweet..i so much wanted to do them..please count me in :)
ReplyDeletei am going to mail you just now.
They are cute, but I've still got most of the Monthly ornaments to do, so will have to pass.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun if I were a more experienced stitcher, which I would have been had I not put it on the back burner for so long...
ReplyDeleteHave fun, I look forward to watching your progress!
Beautiful. Simple but very effective.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...Nikki and Diane are killing me with all there beautiful pieces to stitch. These are going to be amazing! I am also glad that it looks like it is just the pattern making it more affordable to do all 12.
ReplyDeleteOh how tempting...how tempting....
ReplyDeleteI just signed up for the SAL. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteI guess you mean that each design is 75 by 75 stitches.
Do you know if all twelve will have the same top and bottom borders? Thanks.

Vonna, thanks for showing this new design. I'm a monthly/seasonal cross stitch nut so will be adding these to my stash for sure. What a great idea to have a stitch-a-long. Have a great weekend !!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely design, I'm tempted but I know I'd never keep up
ReplyDeleteThey really are cute! I'm like Deb -- I still have the PS Alphabets to worry about. lol! I will be watching though!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally hooked on this series! I want to stitch them all nd will buy them all but I know they probably won't bedone in the coming year. I've already committed to too many other things. That won't stop me from watching all of you and drooling over them!
ReplyDeleteOh aren't they sweet? Such fun you will have stitching these! I am following....that is as close as I dare to get!!:)
ReplyDeleteAck!! Want Want Want....*looks in wallet*....daycare wins again :(

This is quite tempting ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of tempted, but like a lot of people I have lots of other things to stitch. But there is still time to give in to temptation.
ReplyDeleteWow - that is a cutie indeed! I love houses too and who can say no to auqa colors!? Not me - too adorable!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the SAL - I have a feeling that it'll fill up in no time at all! :-)
I love this Vonna! It's so perfect and adorable! It's now on my list of things to stitch, which is growing very long LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh that's cute!! I'm a sucker for a cute house.
ReplyDeleteAhahahaha, LOVE this. It's too cute. :D
ReplyDeleteIt's a cutie Vonna, but I will bench this one. I'll come visit to see the progress on them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers.
Hugs.
Jackie
I would love to participate in the SAL, but I'm afraid that if I sign up, I'm taking away a spot from someone who will actually stitch them - it's been so long since I stitched something that I probably shouldn't commit to anything right now!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you - I love houses! I think it was because I didn't have my own house for so long that I was compensating by stitching them :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
So cute - will be watching your progress!
ReplyDeleteLovely designs! I would like to join...I love doing things like this!
ReplyDeleteI love these!! I can't wait to get the first one.. They are so adorable...
ReplyDeleteVonna your Thanksgiving will be so special with all of your extra little touches! Very nice!
