Happy Hump Day!
I'm glad we're on the backside of this week....as next week my kiddies have a much needed fall break! Whoo Hoo!
Over this past week...
I started a new project. Please let me show you all my start:
"Snow Friends"
and
beginning border for "6 Fat Men"
Designer: Lizzie*Kate
Copyright 2011
Stitched on 28 ct. mocha linen
Stitched with Weeks Dye Works and Crescent Colours as charted
Pretty...
doggone cute, isn't it? I fell in love with this whimsical, sweet design as soon as I laid eyes upon it. Its cute and will be a happy seasonal stitch to add to our winter decor. I'm looking forward to the next square. But because I have SADD...stitcher's attention deficit disorder....and I let my fingers do some clicking in webshots, photobucket and flickr over the weekend looking at people's stitches....I'm starting a NEW project this evening! WHOO HOO! :) you'll just have to wait to see what it is.
I'm finding...
that working on something until I get to a logical end and switching it with another project is working for me right now. I tend to be a "one at a time" stitcher, but I was losing my mojo recently and the tantalizing thought of stopping and starting something else to go back and pick up where I left off is working for me right now. We'll see....
So until next time...
I'll be keeping my fingers busy stitching with my hands at work and heart to God!
hugs and love,

I have the first 3 in my to-do pile. I fell in love with them too. Yours is looking amazing and making me want to start mine. I love the colors and of course the snowmen :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful stitching, Vonna
((Hugs))
I love your snowmen so cute .
ReplyDeleteVonna you have won a give away on my site i will need your address.

gorgeous!!!!!!! I am still in the 'what fabric to use' phase, but yours looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! Might have to use something like that....
ReplyDeleteVonna, I think he is sooo cute. Love him... beautiful stitching, too.
ReplyDeleteToo cute!! Love this series...The colors are just perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I just love your new LK project. I have never seen this design before, but it looks like I will have to add this one to my wish list. I hope you all enjoy your fall break. We just finished ours and are now trying to get back in the grove again. Take care.

I have the first 3 and will get the other 3 soon. I got fabby for it, but not the floss. I think I will do them for my new place next year. I'm moving next summer and will need stuff to put on the walls....
ReplyDeleteVonna, your start is simply adorable!!!!! This series is *so* on my wish list, but it will have to wait for awhile since I'm on a spending freeze of sorts while dd is in college. I've considered just stitching the cute border that's on the website, picking up a skein of floss or two at a time, and then I can buy a chart at a time and fill it in later. : ) It's not like I don't have enough projects to keep me busy!!! Can't wait to see your new start!!
ReplyDeleteGreat new start! L*K designs are so fun and just make me itch to stitch them!
ReplyDeleteLove the new start! It's so cute! Enjoy that time off from school. It's nice to have a tiny break once in a while, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! Now I can't wait to see your other new start. What ever could it be?!
ReplyDeleteI love this one Vonna course I'm always up for a snowman pattern - I've resisted buying this set but I may cave in. I wanted to belatedly tell you how lovely your new stitching accessories were - the ones you made with the wooden hoops and the scissor holder - just way too cute! I saw that on the same blog and tucked the idea away for 'someday' so great to see what you did with it. I also love the new Jingle piece you finished for Tanya - oh so much temptation! Thanks for keeping me inspired Vonna, it's hard to keep up to date with everyone's postings so better late than never!
ReplyDeleteYour snowman is so very cute! So bright and cheery, perfect for the dark days of winter! Can't wait to see the new start! Been feeling one coming on myself! lol
ReplyDeleteGreat start on the snowmen. I love the colors. I have this in my stitching basket........so many projects, not enough stitching time......
ReplyDeleteKeep showing us your beautiful stitching !!
So cute! It puts me in the mood for winter.

ReplyDeleteI obviously haven't been doing a lot of surfing lately because I haven't seen this before and I LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteThe colours are so bright; it makes me want to get mine out and get started on it; but I have to order the material first.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Shar

What a darling snowman, Vonna!! Laughing at your SADD comment :) I have always been a one-project-at-a-time stitcher, too, but just lately, I've begun working on more than one thing at a time and I kind of like it! Can't wait to see what your next project (or projects!!) will be...
ReplyDeleteWell-done Vonna! I love this one too, but if I purchase one more stitchy, I will blow my budget for the holidays! LOL I just can't do that. But I do think that this LK is my favorite. :) Cathryn
ReplyDeleteThese little guys are just sooo darn cute! I spotted them when they were released but added them to my wishlist for now.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to my stitching, I find having more than one on the go works best for me. I get bored easily and like to switch things up. I limit things though to no more than four projects.
I just finished my Halloween Quaker so I get to start another. Yippee!
I love this series too! It's looking good!
ReplyDeleteHugs
So cute !! Going to have to get these patterns !
