Good Day Sweet Friends...
I finally finished a page on my new work in progress! No thanks to the frogs. I tell you, they've been hopping all over the place at my house of late. riiiibbbbiiiitttt!
See that huge geometric, double line Quaker motif? I stitched that twice. And still those hoppers were not done with me. But I worked it all out and last evening while watching the boob tube with my homies, I slipped the last few stitches in on a full page. So one down and eleven to go....should be a beauty when it is all done though (if that day does indeed make it here).
Without further ado...
please let me introduce Quaker Virtues:
Quaker Virtues
Designed by: ByGone Stitches ~ Gail Reinhardt
Stitched on: 28 ct. ivory linen
Stitched with DMC 310 and 815
So...
that does it folks for me today. I'm going to scramble off of here so I can plant my bottom and get going on the next thing I want to work on....hmmm....what will that be?
Until next time...
I'll be keeping my hands to work while my heart is to God. Join in with me!
Hugs and love,

Looks great! Makes it worth all the frogging??? Sometimes I wonder about that one. LOL
ReplyDeleteFabulous start, Vonna! Congratulations on getting page 1 finished! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Gorgeous! Love the minimal palette you've chosen.
ReplyDeleteAnd, what a frog horror story!
ssswwwweeeetttt!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Vonna. Love it. Just consider each page a separate project and it'll be done before you know it!
ReplyDeleteI think those little fellows have been out in force - must be the colder weather coming... But at least we got through them, and you've got a beautiful project underway! Ready to see the next installment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! Those frogs seem to be playing havoc with everyone lately!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. The frogs seem to be after black thread. I had the same problem with a part today that was all black.
ReplyDeleteSorry about those little froggies - Pesky but so cute ;)
ReplyDeleteDespite their visit your piece looks great - I will certainly watch your progress ;)
Why is it that the simplest stitching... all one color, no fractionals, basic designs, give us so much trouble counting? Glad I'm not the only one. Your finish looks great!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!!!!! If only those frogs would just leave us along.... LOL!!
ReplyDeletelooking so lovely xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful start Vonna, but I'm sorry about the frogs. Unfortunately with Quaker designs, it can be really hard to just work around mistakes.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous new start. Love the colours you are using.

So sorry to hear about the frogs. But they do say practice makes perfect and it looks pretty darn close to perfect to me! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I know your next project will be a good one... they always are!
ReplyDeletehappy stitching...
Good luck with it! My friend Claudia stitched it, and it seemed to be a rather frustrating piece to stitch. Quite a few errors on the chart...too many for me, I decided to skip it.
ReplyDeleteBut it was beautiful when she finished!
Beautiful work as always hun; and you just keep that pesky "frog" there. He was here last week and I kicked him out..lol Hope your family has a fun & safe Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Shar
Love your Quaker Virtues! Can't wait to see what you show us next!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful start Vonna! Sorry that the frogs were camped out though. Sounds like they've chosen to move on now. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I don't even attempt Quaker designs - no way to fake an error which I am never lacking!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful! Sorry about the frogs.
ReplyDeleteThose little devil frogs have been to my house lately, too. It is really lovely though, Vonna.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great design, pity about the frog visiting, but I see you got rid of him eventually.

Absolutely beautiful - now tell me, did you send that frog south???? Cause we have a ditch full of the big ones out front plus a dry one that stays on my stitching board!!! Love it, Judith
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am working on this one too but using the color the pattern called for, as well as the Quaker Christmas and Quaker Christmas II. I love these patterns, but beware, there are occasional mistakes in the patterns that you have to catch.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a beautiful sampler. Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love it! Great choices on the threads, too. I hope the frog visit was enough for this piece & that they won't be back again! It looks beautiful.
