I just found....
a delightful blogger that I am happy to introduce to my sampler stitching, primitive stitching friends. The very nice lady's name is Beth and you can view her blog at: Summer House Stitche Workes Blog
And then lo and behold I found that this lovely lady is a designer and you can find her works at: Summer House Stitche Workes Website
Summer House Stitche Workes has me intrigued with a new design series entitled "Mr. President". So go and hop on over to Beth's blog and welcome her to our stitching and blogging community! Our community is so loving, welcoming and supportive of every person and their different desires, tastes and talents, that I know you all will make her feel welcome. And while you are there...take a gander at Mr. President #1 - George Washington.....I'm thinking he'll be joining my family soon ;o)
Keith....
thanks you for your well wishes on his survival of playing my nursemaid. My first surgery went well, I have the next one on Monday...luckily its not too terribly bad...I'm only ouchy for about 48 hours. Then back to normal for the most part. Keith's worst part was keeping me corralled in bed, as the pain meds make me a little goofy.....OK, a little goofier than normal :)
Until next time....
I'll be keeping my hands to work and heart to God, just like always!
Hugs and love to you all and have a happy weekend!
P.S. For any stitching buddies that live within driving distance of my home...would you be interested in having a stitch day at my house? Maybe a little stitching, maybe a little show and tell, a little lunch out somewhere and a whole lotta fun? If so drop me a line! I've got one fish on the line, and would love to have a couple more join us!

I wonder how quickly Beatrice and I can hop in the car and get to your place for a stitching day. She's in San Diego and I'm in Yuma - what do you think? ROFL!!
ReplyDeleteOne day we will take you up on that invitation.
Glad to hear your procedure went well and you and Keith have survived the first recuperation. Wishing you lots of luck and prayers with the rest. Will be thinking of you.

Goodness, I am SO up for that!!! You know how close I am, more then I do!LOL
ReplyDeleteI will call you tomorrow, was going to anyway, and if I don't catch you at home, you can call me back. It has been crazy for me the last few days!!
She is a lovely designer, and I need to get Washington too, since I was born on his birthday! I love it!!!
Gee, I think it would be just a littel over my driving ...Arizona to Indiana...but I will be there in spirit when the others arrive. I am glad you are feeling better....keeping you in my thoughts....
ReplyDeleteNow THAT would be a fun day!! But, I'm not thinking a drive for Chicagoland would be too quick.
ReplyDeleteRest, Relax, and take it easy.
Hi Vonna, SO glad you are doing ok and sounds like the family is taking good care of you! Wish I could join you for a stitching day - it would be fun! Take care and I'm going to hop over and check out that blog now. Mere
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your first surgery went well and sending you prayers that the next one will also. I'm going to pop over and check out Beth's blog and website! :)
ReplyDeleteMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Pick ME!!!!
ReplyDeleteVonna, that sounds simply DELIGHTFUL!! Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help or to make it happen. I'd be there in a heartbeat -- or in about two hours -- if you get this pulled together! (You know where to find me, I think.)
(Sorry! I was so excited about possibly stitching with you that I nearly forgot myself. Please, PLEASE, take care of yourself. I hope you have a very speedy recovery and feel like stitching a bit here and there while you're recovering.)
Let's see. First, Beth's blog looks terrific and so do her designs. Thank you so much for sending us her way. Second, glad your first procedure went well, and will be sending prayers and positive thoughts that the remaining ones will go as well. Third, I could probably arrange to meet up with Nan and make it for a "stitch-in" some time. It is lovely for you to think of inviting people. Please keep us informed!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh on two counts, first the last thing I need is more enabling... the second and the biggie I live in Australia, which is just a little to far to go for a stitching date :(

ReplyDeleteAn extra day stitching sounds wonderful - weather permitting. SOmetimes even an hour or so away can be the same as a million miles.
Just let me know when. Maybe we can even discuss your potential class then too.

Good to hear that your first surgery went well. And I'll keep my fingers crossed for the second on Monday.
ReplyDeleteHow good to hear that you've survived the first surgery without any problems--and that Keith survived it, too!
ReplyDeleteI would join you for a stitching day in a heartbeat, if only Baton Rouge wasn't so far away!
And I agree--that George Washington piece is fantastic. I see myself adding it to my home sometime this year. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Thanks for the heads up! I'm glad to hear that you're healing well--hope things continue along without any problems.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I *SO* wish that I was close enough to get together with you to stitch!!
I will have to hop over and visit her blog! Glad to hear your first procedure went well and yea for Keith on taking care of you so well. Take care and I will keep you in my thoughts.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the note about the designer and her blog, I've bookmarked everything!
Great new design! Hope your next round goes well and quickly! Wish I lived close enough - would love to come!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. A day of stitching and fun. Now there's something that might get me to cross the Ohio river! Of course, that also means I might have to actually sit still long enough to stitch! Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteOooh, how I wished I lived within driving distance... *sigh*...!!! Sending warm healthy thoughts your way!!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear the surgery went well. Give Keith a pat on the back from all of us.
ReplyDeleteI like the Washington also. Nice design.
Let's see, if I left Virginia on Thursday, I might make it by Saturday if I don't stop for food or the bathroom. LOL!
Thank you for the introduction to Beth and her blog. Glad to hear that you are recovering from your procedure so quickly. Hope the next one goes as smoothly. And bless Keith's heart for taking such good care of you!
ReplyDeleteI wish that I lived closer so that I could join your stitching get-together! I'm sure it will be a blast! Look forward to living vicariously when you (hopefully) share pictures and report on all the happenings.
Ohhh...if I only lived closer! I would so be there! What a totally awesome idea.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs for you, dear friend, and for Keith for taking such good care of you...please let us know if there is anything that we can do from afar...saying prayers :)

ReplyDeleteHi Vonna, I hope you are feeling okay and doing well. Thanks for the blog link.
ReplyDeleteLOL I could probably get there for your stitching day faster than Kathy and Beatrice! LOL have one in the summer and I'm sure you could tempt the three of us into a road trip in 10 seconds!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and don't get too goofy!
I loved to drop over to stitch but I don't remember how far away you are.
ReplyDeleteOh Vonna how I wish I could FLY right over the ocean and join you for a stitchy day. I think it would be WONDERFUL. Maybe we should move lol. xx
ReplyDeleteI WANT TO STITCH AT YOUR HOUSE! Do you think the ride from Texas would be too long???? :) Darn, I am envious of those that live close to you you.
ReplyDeleteHope that you are feeling okay from your medical issue...am praying for a speedy, painless recovery.
Vonna, depending on when you were planning a stitch in, I might be able to come down. Greenwood isn't all THAT far away!
ReplyDeleteI would love to come to your place for a stitching day out! Sadly, it's not that close!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that your procedure went well. {{{hugs}}}
