The Weekend....
and this evening shall be filled with nothing but numb butt syndrome, I HOPE. Tomorrow I do have an eye doctor appointment and I am going to try to get contacts again! Yea! I wore contacts from the time I was 14 years old, however after I had Ellie something went wrong, either allergies, or eyeball related...I don't know, but I'm hoping tomorrow will be the end of daily glasses wearing, as I have always preferred contacts. Fingers crossed....
I have....
one more goal to meet for January (in my head) for my stitching related goals. I only have two days to meet it. Think I can do it? I. hope. so. If not, I'll be disappointed in myself. We'll see. Then Monday brings February, where does time go?
Until next time....
hands to work and hearts to God!
Love and hugs,
Vonna

Vonna,
ReplyDeleteThose are waaay to cute.

Those are beautiful..do you have a turtorial for floss tags..I was just thinking about making one of these..
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finishes, so cute. Good luck with contacts.
ReplyDeleteThe floss tags look great! I have an eye appt Monday and I hope to get contacts as well. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteVonna,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a very "numb" weekend. LOL
Those floss tags are really, really nice! You sure whipped them up quickly. Best wishes getting your project done.
Super cute tags. I can use a week-end too and hopefully we won't get too much snow!

ReplyDeleteThe floss tags are just lovely!
I hope you get lots of stitching in this weekend with your NEW contacts!

Vonna your floss tags are gorgeous! What a beautiful job of finishing. I hope to have a case of NBS this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThose are such cute floss tags! I have worn glasses since I was 8 and switched to contacts when I was about 20. It has been all contacts for 30 years, but my astigmatism is so bad that I don't see well at a distance with my contacts and I am wearing my glasses more and more. I guess that is just the ebb & flow of life!
ReplyDeleteADORABLE floss tags Vonna! Good luck with the eye doctor. I prefer contacts too. Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely floss tags, Vonna! Good luck with the contacts. That happened to me too and unfortunately it's just glasses for me!
ReplyDeleteHi Vonna,
ReplyDeleteThose are so very cute! I plan on having NBS this weekend myself. Looking so forward to it. My personal stitch-a-thon is going to begin as soon as I finish checking blogs. :)
Good luck on your contacts. As a former glasses and contact wearer, the best thing I ever did for myself is lasik. If you are a candidate, I would encourage you to check into it. It still amazes me four + years later how great I can see. :)
Have a great weekend!
Those floss tags are fantastic Vonna! The recipients are going to love them.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contacts. I am just now needing glasses for distance and I hate wearing them. The doctor says I'm a good candidate for cantacts, so we'll see. Still have to wear the readers which are always sliding down my nose!!
Hope that you get a lot of numb butt syndrome tonight!!
Those floss tags are beautiful Vonna, great shape and cute design!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your stitchy weekend!
Vonna: Oh so pretty good luck on the contacts.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of something can you guess what it is K.K. its spring soon very soon it will be here.
Stay safe.
Catherine
Those are very cute. I'm a member and have the pattern, now that I see them done I'm going to have to do some or at least one ;). Hope you get lots of weekend stitching done.
ReplyDeleteVery cute floss tags!
ReplyDeleteI adore my contacts. Whenever I have to wear my glasses (for labs) you can hear the swearing miles away.
I BELIEVE IN YOU! STITCH LIKE THE WIND!!! (my favorite phrase adaptation from Toy Story 2) Hope you have fun stitching this weekend. I, too, will be working towards a numb butt.
ReplyDeleteYour Tiny Houses are finished exquisitely!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contacts.
The floss tags are adorable! Your finishing is wonderful! I too am hoping for some numb butt syndrome this weekend...Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable floss tags! Your work is always so professional! I hope you are able to get contacts again. You are shooting for another goal? Wow! You have probably done more already than I will finish all year!
ReplyDeleteI love those floss tags -- beautiful! Good luck with the new contacts. I'm the same way -- started with contacts at 14, had to give them up by the time kids came along. Very sad. For me it's dry eyes. I know I won't be able to wear them. :( I hope they work out for you!
ReplyDeleteVonna, your tags are so sweet and those angels will be lucky ones.. I hope you have a great weekend with NBS. Good luck at the eye doctor!
ReplyDeleteThe floss tags are waaayyy to cute! Where ever they are going, I am sure they will be loved!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contacts - I was looking at your picture trying to imagine you with out your glasses.
May your weekend be filled with plenty of "numb-butt" time!
Very cute floss tags and great gifts! Good luck meeting your goal before the month ends.
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly very productive, I am impressed (again). Can you do me a favor and email me to let me know what you use to "finish" floss tags...Those grommets are not that long so if it's too thick it does not go all the way through to the backside.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
Fingers crossed that the contacts work out for you!
Beautiful floss tags, Vonna! I had my eye appt. today and need reading glasses. Gee, I wonder why...
ReplyDeleteGreat tags, love them, I'm not even close to trying one of these, so I very much appreciate seeing yours. Good luck with your contacts, hope they work out for you.
ReplyDeleteSweet Stitchin xoxo
Vonna, those are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a tutorial on how to make the tags after the design is cross stitched. I have lots of charts I would like to make into tags.

Good post, nice blog. Thanks for share.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Vonna! I love them!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the eye doctor's tomorrow, and I have every confidence that you will meet your January goal! I'll be rooting for you!
Wonderful floss tags! And I hope you get your wish of stitcher's numb-butt this weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteYour tags are so cute, Vonna! Hope your weekend is filled with tons of relaxing stitching time :)
ReplyDeleteYGG! Looking so good! Thanks for sharing these CUTE finishes with us!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the floss tags, Vonna. And, as always, your finishing is top notch. Enjoy your stitching time; I hope to get some in while running back and forth to the washer and dryer.
ReplyDeleteOh Vonna, these are so so sweet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful floss tages. Love the colour changes. Good luck with the contact lens. I wore them up until a few years ago and then could not get glasses to go over my contact to suit to do my stitching so I went back to glasses.
ReplyDeleteThe tags are adorable! Enjoy the stitching weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHi Vonna
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the floss tags. They are too cute! I know that you are a Good Huswife fan and I read the following on Stitches N Things website:
The Goode Huswife is planning on having a new book for Nashville which will be all Quaker designs, including two never published before .... BUT due to the fact that she'll be moving to Europe sometime between April and July, these will be a very limited quantity. This also goes for Volumes 1, 11 and 111, which is the Colonial Gardening Series. After the move, she won't be publishing any more.
Good luck at the eye doctor and meeting your January goals.
Beth
Beautiful floss tags. I hope your butt got good and numb LOL
ReplyDeleteLove these - so cute!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour floss tags turned out sooooooooo cute!!! Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteVonna,
ReplyDeleteThese little floss tags are an absolute delight :>) I really do need to get some finishing lessons from you!! Everything you do is so neat. (English 'neat' not American 'neat' although that's equally appropriate :>)
I had to stop wearing contacts too when I had my son, something about the eyeball changing shape. I hope you get your wish.
I don't know how you could even contemplate being disappointed in yourself. You are always on the go and you accomplish so much!!
Hugs Angela
Those floss tags are wonderful!!! I second the tutorial request!! Good luck with the contacts! It would make me NUTS to have to wear glasses 24/7... NUTS, I tell you!! I had been having problems and then switched to the Night & Days. Awesome. Can't say enough good things about them! HAve a great stitchy weekend, dearie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful floss tags. Thanks for the link to the group.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contacts, I tried them once, and they didn't agree, I scarred my eyeball, but thankfully not my vision. I have thought about trying again, but not sure if it's worth the risk having ended up at the hospital.
Beautiful sweet tags.
ReplyDeleteYour floss tags are gorgeous Vonna.
ReplyDeleteVonna;
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Although it appears you have created another Brouhaha!! :) I planned a NBS weekend too, but my family needed me for other things today ... well, maybe tomorrow afternoon! Enjoy your weekend and Stay Warm!

Your floss tags are gorgeous (I know, I've already commented on the BB, but wanted to do it here too LOL) ... of course I'm more biased towards the blue one (dunno why!), so I just might have to copy you when I do my own ... :P
ReplyDeleteThe floss tags are just gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteAww, Vonna, so sweet. I love the way you changed the colors up and finished them. Good luck with your new contacts and your end of the month goals!!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Congratulations on the finishes, Vonna! They are beautiful. Best of luck getting contacts again, too. I started wearing glasses when I was 20 so I still think of myself as a non-glass wearer even though that's over half a life time ago. Go figure. Anyhoo, I love wearing lenses. I hope it works out for you!
ReplyDeleteThose floss tags will make your "angels" very happy. They remind me of Small House Sampler, which was the first LHN design I saw and which made me fall in love with her work.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my fingers crossed for the contacts. I wear both glass and contacts, and it's nice not to feel the weight of the glasses on my nose whenever possible.
The floss tags are lovely, I am sure the recipients will love them. Good luck with the contacts. I had to stop wearing mine when I was pregnant with my first daughter because my eyes changed and then changed again with my second daughter. I still haven't gone to get them again.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!! You are such a dear!
ReplyDeleteYour tags turned out very nice Vonna. Beautiful. I know your recipients will be happy with them.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU Vonna! I love the tag. You are a doll for sending the golden one to me. :)
