First out of the blue Lisa sent me a lovely RAK. Look at this darling fob she made for me! I love it and it is on one of my very favorite pairs of scissors:

And I won the giveaway over on Sherry's Blog and she sent me a darling miniature book of this title:
Yep, pretty much perfect for me! Thank you Sherry for holding a delightful drawing for us all to take part in!
Yep, pretty much perfect for me! Thank you Sherry for holding a delightful drawing for us all to take part in!That does it for me, not much going on around here. My left shoulder has "seized" I can't move my arm up or down, or turn my neck any way....it started Wednesday night (although I'll admit that I've been having issues for about a week now). Yesterday was miserable. Last night my husband finally convinced me to go to the doctor. I was hurting so badly that I agreed. So I'm on muscle relaxant's and I must say, I feel a bunch better today, at least I can move it. But that's about it....it hurts like the Dicken's still. I guess I'm getting old. I've had this before and the only cure was 3 months of every other day Physical Therapy. I'm hoping that isn't the case this time around. Time will tell....
Until next time....

Hello
ReplyDeleteHope you get better fast and have a nice weekend.
Hugs
Wow! I'm so sorry about your shoulder. I hope it doesn't need intensive physical therapy!
ReplyDeleteThat fob is adorable!
Hope you recover quickly and without intensive therapy ... I don't imagine this damp weather that seems to be hang over most of the US is helping much ... here in NY, we have had only two truly sunny days in two months ... if it isn't raining, it's overcast and unseasonably cool. The scissor fob is delightful. Since you are the unchallenged Queen of Finishing, I would be most appreciative if you would bisit my blog and comment on some of the finishing I have been doing ... 17 finishes this month and 21 more to go before I catch up ... starting with posts on July 3 ... I'm not entirely happy with all the results but I am learning and improving. http.//oubliette-riona.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely fob and a fabulous book too! Lucky you. :o) Take care of yourself and I hope you recover quickly.
ReplyDeleteOuch on the shoulder. Is it bursitis? I had that once and I hope to never have it again. But I will say that a giant horse needle of cortisone did the trick and (knock wood) it's been 10 years or more since.
ReplyDeleteI hope yours heals up quickly.
Ouch! I really hope that this clears up quickly for you Vonna.
ReplyDeleteSending healing thoughts your way.
What lovely gifts, isn't it great when the postman brings stitchy treats.
Vonna, I feel your pain. I did a number on my neck a couple of years ago -- pain galore! I went on muscle relaxants like you. Took a while. Now I have to be very careful of my neck. I hope your shoulder gets better fast -- that's no fun at all!
ReplyDeleteI just love that fobbie, so very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am suffering pretty much with the same thing, can't turn my head and my shoulder is killing me. Years ago I had surgery in my shoulder so I am thinking its arthritis setting in. All this rain isn't helping it either. I hope yours feels better very soon. Take care
Beautiful scissor FOB. Hope you have a nice restful weekend and the shoulder feels better sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Petra
Gee, dear heart, that is a miserable thing to have happen!! You probably overdid and maybe pulled a muscle or something? Glad you listened to the hubby and got some relaxers to help ease it!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely treasures to have in your possession!!
If you haven't already, be sure and stop by my blog and sign up for the giveaway to celebrate with me, Allie Bug's birth!;)
What lovely new treasures you have, Vonna! The book is so nice and the fob is just adorable.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better soon! I hope the muscle relaxants help & that you're back to stitching up a storm in no time.
Beatiful RAK scissor fob. I've seen the book in my hallmark store. They have such cute little books.
ReplyDeleteI do feel for your with your shoulder seizing up. My lower back did that twice in June and the second time was just miserable. I had to visit the chiropracter twice in one week so he could get the muscles to release. I still have some problems at times. My neck did that a few times this year as well. I had exercises to do for the neck and I have to do lots of walking and drinking lots of water now. It all had to do with stress and where I was really holding onto tension.
I hope you will be able to relax as well. No stress or tension for a while. :-)
Gentle Hugs!
Mary
Vonna,
ReplyDeleteI hope your shoulder gets better.. I hope this doesn't cut into your stitching ..

ReplyDeleteYour surprise fob is lovely and what a nice win from Sherry. Hugs, Linda
Vonna, I hope you feel better soon! It sort of sounds like the bursitis in my shoulder when it wraps around into my neck! Ugh!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the book! I was thrilled you won since it just seemed perfect for you!
Sorry to hear about your shoulder, I hope you are feeling better soon :) The fob is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely goodies to receive both of them. Sorry to hear about your shoulder, hopefully it heals up by itself and quickly so you don't need all that physical therapy this time.
ReplyDeleteSue
Oh Vonna, I can relate to the pain you must have had. I've had this shoulder thing a couple of times. I hope you feel much better very soon.
ReplyDeleteJust got back from vacation and am catching up on my blog reading--so sorry to hear about your shoulder, Vonna. I love your sampler wall--that is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to feeling better soon. I had a frozen shoulder last year that I really thought was the most painful thing in the world. I had to go through alot of physical therapy. I avoided the cortisone injections because I'm just that way, went through 12 weeks of PT vs. this and I eventually got better. My stitching stand helps alot. But then, like tonight I get restless and snatch it out and start holding that larger Q snap in the my left hand and then, there it starts again!
ReplyDeleteMoist heating pads help tremendously along with muscle relaxers. I will admit I have to frog alot when taking muscle relaxers! LOL
