*Our New Baby ~ Lil' Red*
It's official, I'm a crazy cat lady....after some BIG family discussions, convincing of the husband, signing of legal documentation stating that I would not ask for any more cats after this adoption (just kidding, but I did agree verbally) ....we adopted this 2 month old sweetie-babe. And what a bargain too! Little did I know but June is 1/2 price cat adoption month at our humane society! Wow! How. About. That. $37.50 later....he's got his homemade kitten house, his own guardian angel and at least 5 admirers....I'm sure Daddy will come around someday soon!
What a sweety!! My daughter also very much wants a kitty but DH will not hear of it. I would also not mind a kitty. I always had kitties till I met DH.

Congratulations he's adorable!
ReplyDeleteHe is so wonderful. I adore him..He makes me think of our Sassycat!! And adopting from the shelter is very kind and loving of you!! I am sure he will bring you all joy!
ReplyDeleteDear Vonna
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to be home again after five days of holiday in Madrid. Love the new look, love the new cat. Hope the old one love him too!!!!
Going down reading the other day's. Believe me when I say that Madrid is not a very good city for cross Stitchers??? Very few items!! Didn't bring a thing :-( . But did see a lot of paintings from american painters of the 19th century. Abolutely amazing. Unfortunately we don't have any in Portugal that I know of!!

So cute! I love ginger cats and am hoping that we get one someday :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to your new family member! I am partial to orange cats & have a few waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I remember a vet once telling us that they have the most personality. Shh... don't tell Chatty! ;) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSweet kitty! Right now my mom has 4 cats and a yorkie living in her house. We don't have any pets since our chihuahua was put down about 2 years ago. I want a dog but DH is not easily convinced with 2 small children.
ReplyDeleteawww makes me want a third but my hubby won't go for it though....need to sweet talk him I think!!
ReplyDeleteTammy
Oh, he is just perfect! What a cutie pie! Congrats on your new addition!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww. So cute!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new addition. :) He's so cute!!!! We have a hard time resisting cats/kittens at our house too. I would adopt every stray cat and "free to a good home" kitten that I could if my husband didn't keep me in check. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's really adorable.
Love him.....he is really cute!
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to hold him but then I would have itchy, red eyes.
Love, MeMe
Orange kitties are my absolute favorite. Lil Red is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations from one cat crazy lady to another! We have some extras if you'd like more! Your kitties are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCats are like potato chips, can't have just one.
ReplyDeleteHow cute!!! Kittens are wonderful. I wish we could get more, but Josie is a wild cat and doesn't like to share her territory and people with anyone.
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable!!!! I'm sure your DH will warm up to him!!! Who can resist that face?!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! How could anyone resist? We have never had luck introducing pets. we now have one cat, one dog, one fish, and one gerbil. There is almost peace here at last! But there is talk of a new puppy....;)
ReplyDeleteOh what an adorable furbaby!! I love the name 'Lil Red'...just perfect for the family!!
ReplyDeleteVonna, had to respond to your new baby....little Red is so cute. Makes me want another kitten but our house is full with our cats and dogs. Have fun with the new baby and enjoy!

We are also a ginger kitty household - congrats on your new baby!
ReplyDeleteDarling Lil Red! He looks like my Purrcy. I have to stay away from all places with animals for adoption. I already have two dogs, two cats and a bird. I really really don't need anymore!
ReplyDeleteHe's a lucky little fellow to have your family now.
He's very cute! Unfortunately, I'm allergic to cats :(
ReplyDeleteAh he's so sweet. I am sure daddy will not be able to resist that adorable little face for too long!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable ! I'm sure Chatty will convince daddy a second kitty is fun to have around.
ReplyDeleteYour kitten is adorable. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteSome might say that I'm a crazy cat woman and that I have too many cats, but I tend to think in these terms:
When it comes to cats, I'm rich beyond measure.
Lynn
Oh....oh....awwww!!!! So precious!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww!!!! What a lucky kitty to have found such a loving home.
ReplyDeleteLil' Red is a great name for him!!!
Congrats!
Lil' Red is darling. We have a little gray one in the shelter about the same size. So happy you chose another shelter animal. BTW, I processed an adoption for a kitten and puppy today at the shelter. That's good for us on a Monday.
ReplyDeleteAaaaw, he's so cute!! You'll have soooo much fun together!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous baby! Felix is seven years old and I still call him "little red" (even though my dad says he's much too big for that moniker). So lovely to see Chatty is looking after him!
ReplyDeleteHow cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute kittie! And the patriotic exchange - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWonderful family pictures.
Thanks for the recipe! The exchange you received is very pretty. My family room is patriotic...love it! Your new kitty is beautiful...reminds me of my Merlin with the colors. All the best with her.
ReplyDeleteHe's beautiful, there's something about ginger cats that I can't resist. Mine wraps me around his little paw LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou have a big ♥ Von!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't break my Cosmo's ♥ you see as he is almost attached to me at the hip most of the time. Cos is a brown tabby and you have a pretty orange tabby. I hope Chatty and him will be great pals!
Cutie!!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a cutie! It's easy to see how you couldn't pass up that sweet face. Congratulations from one crazy cat lady to another!
ReplyDeletethe kitten is adorable!! I just adopted a 3 year old sweet female from the animal shelter. $30 and she is spayed, declawed(already done) dewormed, flea dipped and all her shots. I also had to promise DH no more cats. But he prefers cats over dogs and is a big sucker himself LOL
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your gorgeous new addition! The only thing better than one cat, is two cats! :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww who couldn't love that???? Todd was shooting daggers from his eyes when I brought my 2nd cat home (Hunter). I can assure you he was completely smitten within 24 hours!
ReplyDeletecongratulations for the new kitty. is so cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable face - good luck with the new little one!
ReplyDeletePS - love the new look with pics and music. I love these songs.
What a sweet addition :) So cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI knew I would find pics here...Lil' Red is so adorable!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable! LOL, I can't say anything about the crazy cat lady part; I've always known I was going to end that way. The number of animals to wind up 'following' me home is truly phenomenal. Hey, at least we're not stitching portraits of our cats...yet... :D
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwww. What a sweet little baby. I hope he adjusts well with the others. Or is that the other way around? :)
ReplyDeleteOh what a totally sweet fuzzball! :D
ReplyDeletehow stinkin' cute!!! I am very very jelous!
ReplyDeleteOh he is gorgeous!!! Congrats
