Yesterday....my Mama surprised me with an Easter Gift it was the Easter Basket by Jim Shore and here it is:
That's all for me today....back to my regularly scheduled stitching (I hope....) Bee Man's Garden is still on my frame...and it's growing ;)
Until next time.....love and best wishes, as you count your blessings and your stitches, from our house to yours! XXxxxx

Beautiful Vonna! What a nice mom. Enjoy your stitching!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely all the pieces are! And the Easter emsemble is perfect!!!! Mom's always know the things we like more! Good stitchings (I am really troubled to have more than one WIP in hands. How do you manage? Even if I choose one day for each it is not easy!!! :-))) )
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful Vonna! I love Jim Shore, but have never been lucky enough to have any of my own. I oogle his stuff at Hallmark and on QVC :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection! I loved the peek into it. Also, may I just say that your music on the sidebar is just so wonderful. I always get a total feeling of happiness when I visit. Dream a Little Dream is just so, so sweet. Also, I was glad to read in the previous post that you will be receiving the patterns you are currently craving! I know how that is!
ReplyDeleteI do believe I need to borrow that Holy Family! :) What's your address again? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice and thoughtful Easter gift from your mom.
ReplyDeleteI loved looking at all your pictures.
Your new Easter basket is lovely! What a good mom you have! Your whole collection is just great. I have a large snowman, but that's it. I would certainly like to add more! Oh and congratulations on your weight loss-that is truly and accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift! I've always been a admirer of his works. You've got a great start on a collection!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous gift!
ReplyDeleteYour new collection of Shore pieces are beautiful. Just think, you only started the collection 3 months ago and you have such beautiful pieces. If it keeps growing by next Christmas you'll need a special display cabinet or even room for them all. :)
Wow! I love these pieces especially St. Francis and St Nick!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your progress on Bee Man!

ReplyDeleteNice collection; the basket is very pretty! Have you done any of the JS xs kits?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love his work. I have s couple of Santas. My parents and siblings all went together and bought me the Santa and Sleigh and 5 reindeer one year.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pieces, I loved your St Francis when you showed us him, I love this wee basket its cute.
ReplyDeleteI love Jim Shore's pieces! I've never seen the Easter egg basket before though...it's lovely! What a nice thing for your mom to do for you. And I am officially jealous...how on earth are you losing so much weight so quickly? I know it's none of my business, but I sure wish you'd share your secret!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteVonna,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection you have. Your mom is a real sweetie.
What a beautiful collection!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your JS collection....especially the pig and cow, which I recognize as cross-stitch-on-perforated-paper-kits. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Vonna, how sweet of your Mother! And I just love your collection!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful mom you have. The basket is adorable. I have a serious Jim Shore addiction. It's always nice to find others with the same problem.
ReplyDeleteLove your Jim Shore collection!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of Jim Shore before - there are some gorgeous pieces there! It's no wonder you're so hooked :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love me some Jim Shore - funny but I don't have any yet... hmm... Have you seen the Jim Shore x-stitch kits?? They're v. small & cute... they involve beads... I got one (the cow, I think) to stitch for my step mom for mother's day. It's cute. Hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow, Vonna, what a nice mom you have. I love your collection. I have gotten several of those for my mother. Congrats in the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteHi Vonna,
ReplyDeleteI'm falling in love with Jim Shore
collectibles thanks to you. The
Easter basket is so pretty. Can
the eggs be removed from the basket?
I really love St Nick and The Holy
Family pieces too. Gorgeous
colours and the patterns decorating
clothes, bases etc are so pretty.
You have a lovely home, by the way.
The ruffled finish that you did
for the lady visiting her son is
pretty darn cool. Lovely choice
of fabric, and the purple makes
the design POP! Were the ruffles
difficult to make??
The finishing that you did for
Nancy Boyarski looks amazing.
I think my favourite is the ruler
holder, which you don't see too
often. The cross stitch design
on it is my favourite of the set
as well.
The Christmas ornament that you
stitched for Julianne, a Quaker
design all in red, is very
striking and I love the little
bobble that you made for the
bottom of it. The ornament for
Jill is cute too, and the finish
is certainly different. Black
backgrounds always make whatever
is stitched on it really stand out, doesn't it?
Can't wait to see pictures of your
progress on Bee Man's Garden. It
was incredibly nice of Lynda to
offer you her charts of this
series.
Hope you're having a great weekend.
Cheers!
I love all your Jim Shore pieces, they are so fun and colorful. What a wonderful addition the basket is. Congrats to on getting the one finishing done so quickly for the lady in your earlier post. The wallhanging looks wonderful, a perfect finish for that design.

You only get out of life what you put into it. So if you are good to your Mama it is maybe because she was good to you when you were small and so she has taught you to care for others.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Easter suprise, it is beautiful. Have you seen the Jim Shore Cross Stitch Designs?
ReplyDeleteCongrats, and continues success on your weight loss! Do you like Sweet Potatoes? I have a good recipe from my Fitness Magazine that I will email if you want. :D
