I love this one.....and find that they are "words to live by" so I purchased this little gem and now have it started. I'm stitching this one as a Thursday SAL with two other friends - AmySC and Terry P - I think all three of us find these words meaningful in our present lives. We started yesterday and I didn't do too bad considering I worked maybe 2 hours on it total ~maybe. Catch next Thursday for an update ;)
Well the day is young.....my kids are in school, minus one very precocious toddler - and I have to work this weekend, so I'm going to get a cup of java ~ my NEW love is Dunkin' Donuts Coffee, tried it? LOVE it! I figure I can't have their donuts, so I'll just drink their coffee. And. I. Have. Pots full, gallons of it....good to the last drop! Oh, whoops...lost my track of thinking after I was thinking about Dunkin' Donuts Coffee....Ok...What am I going to stitch today? Another OLDIE, but a goodie that I started in 2007 and put away because of my exchanging commitments - The Village of Hawk Run Hallow.....yep....gonna do it. I figure we're in the third month until next Wednesday, so I can finish one block...which would bring me up to 3 blocks done in total...and I could have the Village done by January if I stick to one block a month. Simple right?! I can do it! We'll see....
Until next week.....love and best wishes, as you count your blessings and your stitches, from our house to yours. XXxxxx
WooHoo looks Great Vonna! I will post my pic tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. I am also stitching it right now. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteyou have done it again!!!! This is another one that is on my MUST DO list, because the words are so perfect for me as well!!!!! I enjoy your blog so much! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThat's one I want to stitch someday too!:) Can't wait to see it stitched!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great start! I drink Folgers 1/2 Caf. Since I drink so much coffee, that dh is ok with it now. LOL! I have wanted to try that DD coffee though.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great start, Vonna :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day and YOU CAN DO IT with VoHRH :)
((hugs))
I love this piece! And I believe in you and your lofty HoHRH goal!
ReplyDeleteYou're off to a great start. I don't know if I've seen this piece before so I'm going to have to look it up. And I hear you on the coffee. I have to drink decaf though or I'd be bouncing off the walls more than usual.
ReplyDeleteHi Vonna! I LOVE all things Lizzie Kate. Great start on that pattern. You really are an inspiration! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeth
This is such a sweet project, Vonna. And as for Villages, me thinks you can get that done by January, I will be rooting for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd psstt...no more ADD then some people that I know quite well!
You are such an ambitious stitcher. I am just trying to finish my stocking this weekend.
ReplyDeleteTammy
Beautiful start Vonna. I think this piece is gorgeous.

Natasha
Vonna...that's such a wonderful affliction! Love ABC Lessons!
ReplyDeletePlease accept the Kreativ Blogger Award for such a wonderful place to stop by and relax!
I love that ABC Lessons chart too Vonna. The colors are terrific as is the message. As for Dunkin... yummmm! Looking forward to watching your progress on Villages and Lessons.
ReplyDeleteGreat new start Vonna, it's lovely
ReplyDeleteOoohhh I'll be cheering you on to the finish line for VoHRH!
ReplyDeleteOh hon, you make me smile!! Another new start. You and Beatrice should have a competition for the most new starts lol!!! Enjoy your new piece.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Lizzie Kate - they are always such easy stitches and the words are always brilliant and I haven't seen this one so now I'm gonna go and have to look for it and you are such an enabler! Lots of Love Patti xxx
ReplyDeleteHehehehe...you're addicted baby! Welcome to my world. LOL! Nice start.
ReplyDeleteGreat start Vonna! This is such a sweet little piece, looking forward to seeing your progress.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time in years, I have more than one WIP in hand, so I think I'm an addict too (actually four in hand). Haven't gotten used to this yet, but one for each night of the week I have free from the other house works may be a very goo idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vonna for the inspiration!!!
Have a nice weekend all!
I love this chart, too~~ And I love Dunkin' Donuts Coffee!!! I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I could never resist to have a cup everytime I see a store, and of course I have to have a donut with it (Thank God there's not a whole lot of Dunkin' Donuts around where I live!! LOL)
ReplyDeleteI'm addicted too ... unfortunately ... lol I love this design by Lizzie Kate.
ReplyDeleteLOL at the Britney reference, but I think I'd rather have my body & face than her issues...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your HoHRH goal! I definitely think you can do it! I can't wait to see your progress on this one!
Have a great weekend!
You know, I was quite a devoted one-at-a-time stitcher until I started reading blogs. Then I discovered that there's almost too much inspiration out there for my little brain to hold! I'm definitely much quicker to start new projects now whether I'm finished with the old ones or not.
ReplyDeleteSo, you see, I've got the same "problem" that you do. But I'm enjoying every last one of my projects, and I suspect that you are, too.
Your new start is lovely!
Very pretty start, Vonna!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy VoHRH--it's a fun stitch! Easy to personalize, too, which is nice. I'll wave to you from the Shores--look for the beached whale on the shore waving its, umm, fin? Hoof? Whatever a whale has... ahem...
Dunkin Donuts Coffee.... oh my. I love their donuts but I would happily give up their donuts for life in exchange for their coffee. It is SO SO SO good. When we're in the US, I go daily to the DD up the road from my mom's house and get a large cup o'joe. Yumm. Have a couple slurps for me. :)
I will help prod you along with your VOHRH and I too will attempt to complete a block a month...hey, didn't I set out to do that so very long ago??? LOL
ReplyDeleteLinda Ebright did a great job doing this one, didn't she? I love it. I'll be anxious to see your progress at it looks wonderful already!
ReplyDeleteI just love that ABC Lessons. I think I'll have to stitch it along with you :o) Don't worry about starting those new projects. I always feel they need to age, like a fine scotch. I have WIP older than you :D Hope you don't see any of the snow this weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat words to live by. It looks like a really fun stitch.
ReplyDeleteGirl you crack me up! I'm taking you aren't drinking decaf?! Sure you aren't bouncing off the walls? : ) Smelling that would make me want to have a donut...haven't had one in a while ( but other 'bad' stuff lately-it's my nerves), though hubs also drinks the DD coffee. I like my tea and lemon, thank you.
ReplyDeleteCute start-my oh my, you are a stitch-aholic!
That looks like a fun design.
ReplyDeleteHI Vonna, ABC lessons just arrived at my house and I love it too, I haven't got the linen yet but I might just get myself organised and join along.... I was planning on hanging it in Maddi's bedroom! They are words to live by for sure :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute pattern and a great start you have on it.
ReplyDeletePlease check out my blog. I'm not sure if you accept awards or not, but I wanted to just let you know I love reading your blog and seeing all the projects you stitch and finish. Very inspiring and not to mention enabling. Thank you!
Enjoy it Vonna! New starts are just so fun!
ReplyDeleteOh yes Dunkin' Donuts coffee is heavenly.
I just love that pattern!!! You have made awesome starting progress and I am looking forward to watching this one grow!! Great job so far!!
ReplyDeleteI love this design - it is top of my wish list at present but I must be good and finish up some things first. Will enjoy watching yours grow instead Vonna. And good luck with VOHRH - another design I love!
ReplyDeleteLovely start, Vonna!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother great start, Vonna :)
ReplyDeleteA great start on ABC Lessons!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that you can stitch a block of Village per month. It's such a wonderful design so that it's easy to stay motivated.
Love the new start, Vonna! I hope you've had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's not ADD it's well, it's not ADD. ;) And I love Dunkin Donuts coffee - I think they have a dark roast now that I have to try.
ReplyDeleteABC Lessons looks great. Popular design. We have sold several at the LNS.
ReplyDeleteIf you have ADD, then you are in good company with a lot of other stitchers.
Good Luck with your Village. I am on #4, but have not touched it in about a year.
