Whoooo HOOO! I cannot tell you how happy that I am to have this project finished...I loved the stitching from start to finish, I enjoyed knowing that I was SALing with two other people - (Thank you Staci and Thank you Laura!) and I am happy to know that the frame will soon be in and I can frame it and hang it on my own wall in my own home and look at it every day! Yay!!!
To finish up the day stitching - since it is only 7 a.m. :o) I have pulled out an *old* WIP, but will wait to announce which one it is until the next time I blog...it's close to being finished...perhaps I'll have another finish to share?
Here in good 'ol Indiana we've been hit with crippling weather....basically a blizzard with ice and you don't get it at Dairy Queen :o) My husband's work announced to stay home unless you are "essential personnel" and he's not well not to them - but to me he sure is! And the kids are off school for today too. I have on the roster for today: laundry, stitching my old WIP and making bananna bread, oh and course hiking my rear end on the elliptical for 40 minutes....gotta stay warm!
Until next time my dear friends, count your stitches and your blessings.......... and stitch with gusto and joy!
It is beautiful. Congratulations. Stay warm.

ReplyDeleteYour finish is lovely. You were getting up about the time I finally tried to go to bed! OKlahom has been hit with ice also. No way I can get out of my drive way. Makes for great stitching though.

Ooooh! A snowday for the whole family! That sounds so wonderful. Though I suppose there may be moments with everyone 'trapped' inside that it might not be. LOL!
ReplyDeleteYour finish is AMAZING! I hope to start a similar chart soon ... The Soweth Sampler (or something like that, I am just so awful with names) and I hope mine comes out as gorgeous as yours! :D
Thanks for the comments regarding the dentist. I suppose all large families must feel a bit, well, large when it comes to family visits to the dentist, etc. LOL!

I ordered the book from Amazon and it came last week so I hope to start it as soon as I decide on fabric! I fell in love with it the moment I saw it on your blog when you started it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your stitchy, snowy day with your family and stay cosy! And thank you ever so kindly for your sweet and lovely comment about my Honour Christmas finish, Vonna!

Hi Vonna, your sampler is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI saw the darling pillow you made for Michelle and really liked it. Your work and stitching is beautiful.
I been enjoying many of your previous post...the basted and baked turorial had some great info. I like the idea of using tea and coffee together (I've only used tea) and I never had a clue about baking the fabric.
It was fun visiting and I'll be back...hugs, Linda
Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWhatever happen to CDC?
YAY Vonna! Great finish!
ReplyDeleteYour "Lo, How a Rose" is bee-YOO-tee-full!! I still love that one. Makes me want to get mine framed, too!
