A last minute finish...

Hello Friends! I have a last minute November finish to share with you.....I've been wanting to stitch this little beauty since I saw it and here it is all finished up:

Front:
back:
front again:
Designer: Tanya Marie Anderson ~ The Sampler Girl
Design: At Plimoth
Fibers: DMC (my own choices)
Fabric: 25 ct. Oatmeal
Finished as: Embellished Pillow

I was just...pleased as punch to have this stitched and finished all in one day! And I think it turned out lovely, a special little remembrance of a lovely Thanksgiving Day spent with family and sharing our many blessings bestowed upon us. God has richly blessed me in life, and I really appreciate Thanksgiving and the time it allows us to reflect on our many blessings.

In the interim....my sweet husband purchased for me (an early Christmas gift) an Sole Elliptical machine so that I can exercise in our basement in the morning rather than get out in the black of early morning and walk. I got scared a couple of mornings recently and decided that perhaps walking in the daytime would be better. BUT....time??? So....Keith and I decided a machine in the basement so I can continue getting up at 4:45 a.m. to do my work out would be best. That way I can do it in the privacy and safety of my own home. Let's hope this elliptical turns me into a super model! :o) Ha....Ha....Ha...

So I guess that.....does it for me today. I'm am so behind on my google reader that today when I logged in it said 1000+....oh heavens....I'm trying to get round to you all...know that I am trying.....

Until next time....count your blessings and your stitches!

That pillow is so sweet!

Yay on getting the elliptical machine - I know I'd much rather work out in a basement than go out in these chilly early mornings!

Congrats on the elliptical! Although staring at a wall for 45 minutes can get boring compared to looking at scenery outside, it's much better than walking in the extreme heat, extreme cold, or getting yourself scared by lurking creatures (or whatever).

I have a series of dates with my treadmill starting Monday...this weekend was hard on the whole "portions" and "healthy eating" thing.

Love the finish! Good luck with the workouts. Personally, getting up at 4:45 to exercise is a hard thing to do! Congrats!

Wonderful new project, finished with the expert touch as usual! Outside walking would get much trickier as soon as the snow flies, so the basement sounds like a warmer and safer option. Glad to hear your commitment to exercise is holding strong. You go, girl!

As for blog-reading, I'm at 802, but the good news is that I've finished several projects lately instead. Still hope to catch up on reading soon . . .

Can´t believe you get up at 4:45am and manage a family and do all your stitching and finishing!!! Would love to know your secret - do you ever sleep?

Love your color choices for Tanya's freebie, Vonna. Congrats on the new elliptical, just don't turn it into a very expensive clothes rack (as I have done with so many exercise machines)!

Love that finish.

I hear about you exercising in the dark. It's safe here, but I am still not strolling around in the dark. We're trying to figure out which of the pit bulls is better for me to take walking.

way to go you!, getting up at that time of the morning to do exercise!

I love how you finished this pillow. I would love to get this design done someday.

I loved the elliptical trainer at the gym it was my favourite workout. One hint I have, is make sure that you have comfortable, well-fitting shoes when you workout.
