Inside Needlebook
Back of NeedlebookI believe she likes it, it was stitched with love and her in mind! She actually thought that it was the fob I stitched for Diane! LOL! Nope that one Diane has herself ;) I'm going to have to stitch myself up this set because it just is cute as can be!
I didn't use the Weeks Dye Wool as called for...nope I used material (that Sylvie gave me in my Spring Exchange - Thanks Sylvie!) and I really am glad I did because AmySC is allergic to wool! Yikes! Anyway....I was pleased with the set and how it turned out. Hurray!
Now off to fold some laundry and hopefully get to work on some stitching, I've not stitched since Monday, when I was finishing the final touches on this exchange.
Thanks for all your lovely supportive comments about Katie - she is doing wonderfully and has talked me into letting her try to go to school tomorrow ;) Thanks too for your friendship and visits....without you kind readers - I would be lost amid the waves of life! Until next time...stitch happy!
I am so happy to hear that Katie is doing better. I love that she is eager to get back to school! Your needle book and fob are gorgeous!!! I have that kitted up and ready to start as soon as I get a few other exchange pieces finished. I am using different wool than it calls for because I had a piece in my stash that I love. You can see it on my blog because I used it as a backdrop for the Cottage Garden finish. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Simply GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Katie is feeling so much better that she wants to go back to school. The needlebook and fob set is wonderful !

Glad to hear Katie is recovering.
Vonna, it's beautiful! I love how you finished the needlebook. I'm so sorry about Katie. The poor thing! I'm so glad to hear she doing better. She's such a sweetie about not wanting to miss school. My ds tries to fake a stomach ache everyday!

I am glad that Katie is feeling better. What a shame that she had such an accident.
ReplyDeleteYour needlebook is great...they are fun to make aren't they?
Oh what a beautiful set, you are so clever.
ReplyDeleteGreat exchange piece, you did such a great job in the finishing. Sorry to see Katie had the little accident at school, hope she will have a speedy recovery. Getting a call from school and going to the ER such be such a devasting experience. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Vonna,
ReplyDeleteFirst off I wanted to send my own best wishes and sympathy to your Katie for the absolutely rotten day she had and the nasty accident. What an ordeal for her. I really hope that she's over the worst of her pain and discomfort and is well on the road to recovery.
Sounds like her Mama really knows what to do to brighten her daughter's day though. Those balloons and the candy purse were a fantastic idea Vonna.
And all the wonderful comments left by your (and her) blogger friends were a joy to read. Since we all know Katie through her own blog, she is one of us, isn't she?
And congratulations for winning the spelling bee Katie. Your teacher was pretty smart to think of the conference call which allowed you to participate. Think you could give me some pointers??? I'm a lousy speller. Thank goodness for spell check!
I really love the Polly Wolly (etc) pin keep that BeckySc made for you Vonna. It's so pretty and whimsical.
And the LHN Needlebook and scissor fob that you stitched for Amy is too cute. I love those sheep.
I love visiting your blog Vonna, because I always see such beautiful stitching and finishing, both your own, and also those made for (and inspired by) you.
Hope all is going well in your new job too and that you're settling in and beginning to enjoy it.
Cheers!
Your needlebook and fob for Amy are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Katie is doing better!
Such a gorgoues set! I just ordered this design the other day, from AmySC herself. ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Katie is starting to feel better!
I love it too! The colors are so neat! I've been needing to find a way to close some of my needlebooks! I never thought to put the button on the back! DUH! I'm going to try that next time!
ReplyDeleteWhen you do your needlebooks, do you sew right sides together and flip it right side out? Or do you blind stitch the lining on?
Beautiful set you made for Becky. Your finishing skills are just amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Katie is feeling better and wants to go to school ;)
What an enchanting sheepie set! The chart was already on my wish list, but my ordering finger wants to get clicky now! :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous gifts!
ReplyDeleteIts lovely Vonna what a great gift to send.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Katie is recovering so well!
I haven't been for a visit this week and just saw about Katie! I am so sorry she got hurt, especially in a gentle area. Freaky! I'm trying to remember if I saw monkey bars at Sean's old school on Tuesday when I was there voting-like a dome kind maybe?
ReplyDeleteLove all you stitchy pieces. I've been too busy outside to get more than a few stitches in the same old piece.
Have a great weekend!
What a cute exchange piece for Amy – you did a lovely job, Vonna.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad that Katie is on the mend, and anxious to get back to school! I can only imagine how relieved you must feel!
Oh my gosh, Vonna! I just read about Katie's accident and I have to say it hurt me to read it-- ouch! I'm so glad she is doing better and congratulations to her for winning the spelling bee!
