"Shores of Hawk Run Hollow"
Nashville Release 2008
So what do you think? Hmmm....I don't know if I'm "totally" in love....but it sure is nice isn't it! I love the verse...I think KBD writes the nicest verses...I love the fabric it's on...the more I look at it and look at the colors/houses/lighthouse/sea life on it...the more I think....I'm SUNK! :)

I'm loving this piece even though generally I am not a HHRH fan. I see a lot of stuff here that I can stitch for dh.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! Thanks so much for posting the picture. I have it on special order sight unseen.
ReplyDeleteI like the middle panel and think it would be very nice stitched by itself.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the overall effect of the colors is as harmonious/balanced at her other 2 HRH pieces.
I think I like it, like the other Hawk Run pieces, the more you look at it the more you see :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have the other 2 charts, but if I end up buying this one...then I think I 'have' to get the first 2!!!
I must admit I got a little giddy when I saw it! Definitely putting this one on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting a picture- I just LOVE this piece I really really do, I will be adding this one to my wishlist, its wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Vonna!
ReplyDeleteI must must have it! I live right near Salem (Mass) harbor. We have a replica of a tall ship, a customs house (where Nathanial Hawthorne worked) and lots of federal-style architiecture. We even have a (very small) light house at the end of the wharf. It's like KBD designed this for me! I am absolutely over the moon!
I must say I really do like this piece. Living by the sea and having a mere on the other side of town it really suits me. Won't be getting it anytime soon though as I've just signed up for the new Loose Feathers ( yes I caved!).
ReplyDeleteAnd another design is added to my wishlist... ;) Thanks Vonna!
ReplyDeleteNot for me. I canc'd my pre-order for it. To me it just doesn't *go* with the other two, nor is it *me.* I just can't see it hanging on my wall like the other two. I'm disappointed because I was really looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI really like it, much more than the other two, but I LOVE the ocean. I lived at the beach when I was a teenager & listed to the ocean as I feel asleep at night, and LOVED sitting on the beach no matter time of day (or night), so this is my fav!
ReplyDeleteDSL has pre-ordered it... I'm sure one will find my way into my personal stash someday! ;)
I just went overboard for this design!
ReplyDeleteCan you resist? I think I like this one much more than the other two. But, it's a much larger project than I would ever take on!
ReplyDeleteResistance is futile....
Hugs,
Myrna :-)
I'm really happy to see this one, I like it better than the Houses one, which I thought was too heavy and morbid for my taste. I'll definitely be getting this, and hopefully it will be some motivation to get working on my Village one.
ReplyDeleteI really like it all except for the bottom right-hand square. I don't think I like that one at all, but I still put the chart on my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteYou know that is probably one of the cutest ones I've seen of HHRH. They don't normally jump out at me but I'm liking this one, Hmmmm. Maybe yes!
ReplyDeleteThe verse is great!
I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so easy -- give me a boat some water and a lighthouse and I will buy it -- HAHAHAHA
I just love it! This is such a hard time of the year! So many lovelies!
ReplyDeleteIs there any rescue for a sinking Vonna? I think not! I am not a big fan of HOHRH but I really like this one! I am a sucker for lighthouses, water etc and I live beside Lake Ontario so maybe someday. Hey, some of these pieces would even look cool on my RR hmmmm!
ReplyDeleteWow!Beautiful design!!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking foward your progress!!
I like this one. Think this is the nicest so far.
ReplyDeleteI love it...definitely going to order it. Suz
ReplyDeleteUh-oh - I am in trouble. I just love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very pretty chart for sure!
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty so I think you should buy it and stitch it. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally a HRH fan, but I do like this one. The colours on the fabric in the picture really stand out for me.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it I LOVE IT!!! That is definitely going on my wishlist. xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I love the house in the middle left box. I know a lot of people are going to be pickign this up.
ReplyDeleteOh that's beautiful! I'm in trouble too! I live right by St. Petersburg, across the bay from Tampa. :) I like Tarpon Springs too. The kids like the little aquarium they have there. :)
ReplyDeleteThe HRH designs have been growing on me for some time and they've all just gone on my wish list
ReplyDeleteWell, it's funny, because when I heard it was to be 'Shores' I wasn't very interested. I'm not into mermaids or sea stuff at all. But I really, really, like it! I'm not sure if I quite like it enough to stitch it, but I like it a lot more than Village and a lot, lot more than Houses! :)
ReplyDeleteI was sunk at first sight! I love the ocean, mermaids, lighthouses and just the thought of being at sea! This one is perfect for me.
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's going on my wishlist!
ReplyDeleteThis is a must have!!!! I really like the HrH pieces and I think this is my favorite so far!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Vonna you have temtpted me once again here!! That is just beautiful!! I may have to have that one! I too am SUNK Debby :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great design and I love it. Definitely a must, to be added to my wishlist. I have been waiting for this design to come out for some time.
ReplyDeleteI really like this piece (like many others ... I love pieces with a nautical theme). I might have to add it to my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteIMO - it is the best of the bunch. Not that I have anything against the other ones!! This one just has more critters in it & I think it is charming.
ReplyDeleteNow will I ever stitch it? I doubt it -- will enjoy looking in on everybody else stitching the squares.
I am another one who thinks it is the best of the bunch. But I love sea-themed designs and lighthouses. I love the ship with the quaker sails. The first two HRH designs did not appeal to me as much as this one.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit behind everyone, but I also love it and will have to put it on my wish list as well. It would lovely with the other 2. I love the middle panel. - Sandra.
ReplyDeleteI think... I might like this one!
ReplyDeleteIt's growing on me! When I first saw it I wasn't sure I like it but the more I look at it the more I see in it that I like. I just might be tempted!
ReplyDeleteI fell in the sea of peril and ordered it already!! I am just not kitting it up, yet. I'm completely broke after this month...completely broke. No more stashing for me for eons!!! Jessica fell in love with it because of her husband's being in the Coast Guard...and since we live in FL, this was really impossible to resist. I say, go for it, Vonna!! Love and hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteI love this piece. I think it is so different from the other HRH pieces that it is fresh, while still being very CHS. It's a must-stitch for me!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I heard the word "shores" I knew it was a must have. I love it. I have it and the threads and still looking for fabric. Wishing I could be working on it already! Those of you on the water - St Pete, North Shore, wherever . . . this really calls to us. I spent most of my life on the Jersey Shore.
