Cirque de Cercles ~ The Snowbird's SAL ~ Week 3 ProgressI think that I did pretty much progress it's always hard to say, but you can follow what I've done each week in my Cirque album located in my side bar if your interested. I think that a couple of things slow me down: stitching 1:1 on black evenweave is the main thing and I'm constantly looking at colors as I go along. See I colored my pattern but I just did general "hues" I'm actally choosing the colors as I stitch. And I find that I'm chaning some things as I go. Hope it turns out ok!
But here I go patting my own back again. I had a visual picture in my mind of what I wanted...and this is EXACTLY it! I really am proud of my prgress so far. It's bright jewel tones...just make me smile!

ReplyDeleteI love your color choices but aaaak about stitching on black, although I think the color results will be worth it in the end. Do you stitch over a white towel? I've heard that hint for working on dark cloth--I'm going to try it for a small project I have on a navy blue linen.

I am falling so in love with your CdC! Pat yourself on the back all you want - we sure don't mind! You are so talented! I would love to do this piece too... yet fear stitching on black in this house with six long haired cats. I think I would spend all my time letting my OCD obsess over the cat hairs on the fabric and not get a whole lot of stitching done! I just LOVE the red you have added in now!
