Isn't it the cutest? I just love it...I honestly do....I was going to send it away to a friend's house, but frankly I can't bear to part with it...so it shall be mine! I'm just thrilled with it!
I've had quite a lot of questions lately so here's the answers:
1.) Pattern of my tea cups and saucers...I have a couple of different patterns and I don't know what the pattern is, honestly. I have the entire set of china for both of the cups/saucers and they were previously owned by my Great-Grandmother Weber and my Grandma Weber. So they are OLD. My mother about had a heart attack when I she saw them in my pictures and told me to put them away. I told her what good were they tucked away in a box and nobody to gaze upon them?! So I have them out and use them.
2.) The lace under my pictures is a bureau scarf and it was from my Grandma too :)
3.) The antique sewing machine I've talked about a couple of times before, but it was on a junk pile and my industrious brother saved it from the heap and electrified it into the quaintest, cutest lamp around!
4.) The angel on the material under the presser foot of my antique sewing machine lamp is just a tea towel and the angel/flowers are machine embroidered on the towel - I'm not that good ;)
Alrighty friends, thanks for your visits, I appreciate your comments and I hope that you all are having a TERRIFIC week :) Tomorrow is Laundry Day at my house :(
Until next time...stitch with dancing fingers!
It is quite charming!
ReplyDeleteI read your post earlier today, blinked, and now you're already done with this?? Is that even possible?? Whew! I'm worn out just thinking about how fast you must have stitched that!! (By the way, it's lovely!!)
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!!! I like everything about it...the design, the fabric, the way you put the pins...everything!
ReplyDeleteWow! That was some fast stitching! I love how it turned out, too!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Congrats on the finish. You're going to have to add another room onto your house just for pinkeeps before long :D The are so fun to make!
ReplyDeleteYour pinkeep is gorgeous, I understand why you kept it :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful finish, its adorable. I love the LHN patterns, they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind in my reading, so missed your earlier posts with so many beautiful finishes you had posted before, you've been busy. Also, I love your start on on CdC, what a gorgeous pattern. That's a great idea coloring in the pattern and then stitching it, it will really make it your own unique piece. Your start is looking fantastic, I'll really enjoy watching this grow.

Great finish! I love the backing material, very appropriate.
ReplyDeleteVonna, where do you get those lightning needles?! Congrats on a terrific little finish. :D
ReplyDeleteYou are right, your pinkeep is too cute. You did a great finish on it also.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have flying fingers!! You are the princess of pinkeeps ~ great job, as usual. Michelle :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a fast stitcher with all the kiddos you have running around-unless they are super good and keep themselves busy (well look at the Legos masterpiece). : )
ReplyDeleteGreat finishes, love An's gift too. Ellie looks so adorable in her piggie tails!
Very cute pinkeep there my dear! Ya did good!
ReplyDeleteNow where did my comment go?! I know I just sent it... argh!!
ReplyDeleteYou really are the queen of finishes, Vonna. What a beautiful pinkeep!! You are so right to keep it for yourself... :o)
Beautiful pinkeep Vonna!
ReplyDeleteThe pinkeep is gorgeous! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable pinkeep! I totally agree with you about using your dishes! I used to keep my older things packed away until I got frustrated because I wanted to enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty pinkeep - it is as sweet as honey! I love your bumblebee color trims, and I don't blame you for keeping it!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness that was FAST!!! It is just gorgeous Vonna and perfect for you!!! Another stunner to add to your collection of pinkeeps!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! It turned out gorgeous and wonderful. I am so jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you kept this one for yourself! It's absolutely gorgeous. I love the fabric you chose too.
ReplyDeleteYour grandmother's tea cup is beautiful. When my mother got married they had a cup and saucer shower for her. She's given some to each of her three daughters so I have a few lovely ones myself.
It's a gorgeous pinkeep Vonna, congratulations.
ReplyDeleteYou do the right thing in having your grandmothers china out. My Grandmother had a lovely set that she got for her first wedding but that she said was too good to use so it was kept boxed in a cupboard in the kitchen. Sadly a few years before she died the cupboard fell off the wall smashing the lot! Much better to have it out to enjoy.
I love it! Of course you want to keep it! I love china too and I am so pleased you are using your Grandmothers. You might be able to look up the name of the pattern at Replacements Ltd. If there is nothing on the bottom to identify it you can send them a picture and they will find it. Maybe they will even have replacement pieces.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great design - I just love it! I will have to check out The Busy Needle now!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous pinkeep!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, no wonder you decided to keep it.
