Here's my Seasonal House exchange that I stitched for Judith. Judith chose an Autumn themed home and this is what I picked for her:
Prairie Seasons - Autumn Cottage - Book #9
Fiber: DMC (my own colorway)
Fabric: my very own hand-stained 28 ct. evenweave
Finished as: a flatfold
I was happy to stitch something for Judith because she stitched for me on two different exchanges....so it was definitely my turn to return the favor. I believe that Judith liked what I stitched for her :) I am definitely putting this on my list to do for myself in exactly the same way. I love flatfolds...especially seasonal one, this way you can display them easily and then store them easily until the season returns. Yep, this one dear friends is on my list for me to stitch up soon!
Well I've been stitching away still, but alas nothing else to show you yet! I've had to work the last 2 weekends, so my weeks fly by and then my weekend to work is here too soon :(
I have to work one more weekend and then I'll have one off! Hurray! The summer is flying by....my kids have about 4 weeks of summer vacation left and then it will be back to school. Hum....then its back to a crazy schedule once again.
Hope you all are doing fabulous, and that you are having a great weekend. I wish you all well and hope that the upcoming week is filled with light and laughter :) Until next time.....
What a sweet exchange! The backing fabric you chose is perfect for the design - nice work all round :)
ReplyDeleteHi Vonna! Not sure if I've ever commented on your blog before, but have been reading for a long time, so either way it's high time I commented LOL. Love your PS house! I did a modified version of this for my NRR because it so closely resembles my own house. Love how you finished it, I need to become brave and give that a try myself!

ReplyDeleteOur kids start vacation at the end of this week. They only have 6 weeks. It hasn't really dawned on me that they'll soon all be home all day ... Yikes! LOL. Just joking. We usually have a lot of fun during holidays.

ReplyDeleteLove that flad fold Vonna. It is the next thing on my list to learn how to do. I already have a pattern stitched and a recipient for it...I just have to get around to getting instructions on flat fold finishing...I think Dani knows how to so it and she's going to be here this week....hmmmm do I see a lesson in my future?
ReplyDeleteI also love the little drawstring bag...both the design on it and the bag itself.
That turned out wonderfully. What a fun design, and your fabric and finish set it off perfectly. I can see why you'd want one for yourself.
